Aerosmith Frontman Steven Tyler Falls Off Stage, Airlifted to Hospital

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler was airlifted to the hospital Wednesday night after falling off a stage at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Tyler reportedly suffered injuries to his head, neck and shoulders after he fell backwards off the stage into the audience.

Stephen Tyler was dancing around the state during a performance of “Love in an Elevator” when he stepped backward off the stage and fell. The 61-year-old Aerosmith frontman was conscious and walking after the accident, according to the Rapid City Journal.

After being examined by a physician at the concert, Tyler was airlifted to Rapid City Regional Hospital. No further information has yet been released about the extent of his injuries. However, the singer’s daughter Mia Tyler posted on her Twitter feed early Thursday morning that she “just got the news that my dad is ok.”

No video of the incident posted on the web so far, but we’re sure it’s only a matter of time.
