On American Idol 2012 last night, the remaining five contestants performed three times in an effort to win their way through to the next round. Who will get voted off American Idol 2012 this week? Will it be an easy pick everyone has been expecting for weeks? Or will the voters defy predictions again to put someone surprising in the bottom two?
Last week, it was not much of a shock when Elise Testone was eliminated after her long roller-coaster ride this season. Before that, however, voters twice went against the majority of the American Idol predictions for eliminations by first ranking Jessica Sanchez last one week, and Colton Ford the next. Sanchez got a save from the judges, but Colton Ford didn’t get that chance.
Based on this track record, it is very hard to make a call at this point on who will get voted off American Idol 2012 this week. My brain tells me one thing, but my gut is leaning another way. Read on to find out who I think will be going home this week and let me know what your American Idol 2012 predictions are for who will be the top 4!
This week on the American Idol 2012 elimination results show, my prediction for going safely through to the next round is Jessica Sanchez. Despite almost being voted off once and having to be saved by the judges, Jessica Sanchez has been consistently ranked at the top of the pack all season and she is flying high right now, especially with two strong performances on American Idol last night.
I should note, however, that there are a few people out there who not only think Jessica Sanchez will be in the bottom two, but actually think she will be eliminated this week! That is how close things are getting with the American Idol 2012 top 5.
Assuming Jessica Sanchez does end up safe, things get very muddy with making any kind of American Idol 2012 predictions this week. Everyone is in danger for various reasons and figuring out who will be in the bottom three is nearly impossible. The American Idol predictions vary so wildly out there that it could be literally anyone.
However, for the other person in the top two this week, I think I am going to have to go with my gut and choose Joshua Ledet. Now, some think he will take a dive this week because the judges pimped him up SO much on American Idol last night. However, I feel his performances really were quite good and his fan base is so aware of his danger that they probably voted in spades.
That would leave my American Idol predictions this week for the bottom three as: Skylar Laine, Hollie Cavanagh and Phillip Phillips. Oddly enough, although I have predicted repeatedly that Hollie Cavanagh would be eliminated in previous weeks, I am not doing so this week. (Which might just guarantee she IS the one who will be sent home just to irk me.) I also think Skylar Laine will be safe due to her stellar performances both last night and last week. She is peaking at exactly the right time.
In the end, I think it will be Phillip Phillips who ends up getting the boot despite formerly being a heavy favorite for the final two.
Let’s face it, Phillip Phillips has gotten a little boring. He does the same thing on every song and his song choices are often totally off. He peaked early in the competition and in recent weeks he has given lukewarm performances and received a lukewarm response from the judges.
The only thing that makes me question the elimination of Phillip Phillips this week is the statistics from past seasons. A white male ends up in the top two on American Idol a LOT. The tween girls are still going to vote for him despite the revelation he has a girlfriend. And, in the end, it really might actually be Hollie Cavanagh’s time to go after all.
Drat, now I’m questioning my own American Idol predictions for the elimination results show. Okay, okay, I’ll stick with Phillip Phillips but now I can just hear the universe laughing at me when Hollie Cavanagh gets voted off American Idol 2012 at last and I did NOT pick her this time!
That’s a wrap for my American Idol 2012 predictions for who will get voted off this week. Now it’s your turn. Tell us who you think will get the boot in the American Idol 2012 results show on Thursday and join us here on SnarkFood.com for a recap as soon as the results are in!
Niguel please listen to the comments coming from the judges. The three female singers last night were great but yet Steven and Randy have to say things about the performance that are just not applicable. Why make negative comments about the arrangement as the first comment, why not judge their singing and performance. What did they have to do with the arrangement anyway. The duet number by Joshua and Phillip was awful throughout most of their”singing”. Yet Steven, Jen and Randy do not say one itty bitty word about how bad most of it was. Really Judges, especially Randy and Steven against the female vocals, really?
Jessica all the way. She’s absolutely fantastic. Her voice for her young age is absolutely amazing. She’ll go a long way. Best I’ve seen yet.
I am glad we record it, that way we can fast forward when Phillip comes on. All we here from the judges is that he ‘s ” making it his own” . When Simon was a judge he told it like it was. He wouldn’t make excuses for his off key singing.
looks alone hollie would easily take it,but its about singing; just wishful thinking. skylar is by far the best singer
I like Jessica at first it is not her time this year. It will be Skylar turn
I think skyler should win shes got a great voice super sweet an execellent performances. Phillip is so over rated just because the girls think hem cute, well were not judging looks, its suppose to be talent. Personally I think he should of been voted off a long time ago. Thats just my honest opinion.
Overall Jessica should get the crown – yes Jessica, she is fantastic and with the voice like that – so natural and rich. J E S S I C A – I am all for you.
Jessica will give the top 4 a run for the money
I love Jessica….
Jessica all the way. She will be the American Idol this year.
hahahaha.. Skylar is out – bad prediction!!! Let me scrutinize the entire show.. Haven’t you noticed that the entire show is all about making Jessica Sanchez win? The judges make few negative comments about Sanchez – it’s not because she is less powerful than Joshua Ledet but it is to attract the voting public to support Sanchez. They praise Ledet too much, to the point of giving him standing ovations so that in the public mind, he is guaranteed of the title and no need of massive campaign and support.
by the way, is Joshua Ledet gay?
