American Idol 2012 Spoilers: Top 7 Song List for ‘This Decade’ Night

Tonight on American Idol 2012, viewers will happily enjoy listening to songs from the current decade, rather than a whole lot of music from before half of the Idol cast was even born. The theme for tonight’s American Idol showdown is ‘songs from this decade’ and will reportedly feature seven solos and three combo performances.

Please stop here if you do not want to know the American Idol 2012 top 7 song list for Wednesday night’s episode!

I’m actually a bit excited about the song list for American Idol tonight and I can’t wait to see which contestant will be paired with what song. According to a teaser on his Twitter feed by Nigel Lythgoe back on the 8th, it looks like Elise Testone might possibly be doing the first song on the list, “You & I” by Lady Gaga. Then again, he could have just been talking about the song selection in his Tweet, not actually confirming Elise would be doing it.

Nigel Lythgoe also dropped another spoiler on the song list, saying the Gotye song “Somebody I Used to Know” from the list would be a duet on American Idol tonight. Since last week the combo songs were on the bottom, and the Gotye song is third from last on the list, I’m going to bet the last two on the list will be combo songs as well.

Here’s the rest of the song list revealed for American Idol 2012 tonight:

“You and I” – Lady Gaga
“Stuttering” – Jazmine Sullivan
“Didn’t Know How Much I Loved You” – Kellie Pickler
“Perfect” – Pink
“Love The Way You Lie” – Skylar Grey
“Give A Little More” – Maroon 5
“Runaway Baby” – Bruno Mars
“Somebody I Used to Know” – Gotye
“What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)” – Kelly Clarkson
“Don’t You Wanna Stay” – Jason Aldean & Kelly Clarkson

Now you can play the mix and match, who will get what song game until tonight’s episode airs! Who do you think will end up singing which song this week?
