American Idol 2012 Top 6 performances – Song One

Jessica Sanchez – “Bohemian Rhapsody”

Judges: Randy Jackson loves the performance and thinks Jessica is unbelievably talented. Jennifer Lopez thinks Jessica sounded beautiful in the more melodic parts of the song but didn’t do as well on the rock parts. Steven Tylers says he thinks Freddie Mercury would be proud of the performance, but rock is not Jessica’s forte.

Vote: 1-866-436-5701

Skylar Laine – “The Show Must Go On”

Judges: The judges really love the performance and think Skylar rocked it. Steven Tyler thinks Skylar was totally over the top in a good way. Jennifer Lopez has her first ‘goosies’ of the night and the performance was great and powerful. Randy Jackson thinks it is one of the best performances of the season for Skylar.

Vote: 1-866-436-5702

Joshua Ledet – “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”

Judges: The judges are on their feet in a standing ovation for Joshua Ledet once again! Randy Jackson says Joshua was unbelievable and had it all; vocals, performance, character and charisma. Jennifer Lopez says it was incredible and inspirational and Joshua is the favorite part of the show for her. Steven Tyler says Joshua sounds like nobody else and late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury would have loved it.

Elise Testone – “I Want It All”

Judges: Elise is back! The judges are all over this one! Randy Jackson says it is one of Elise’s best performances of the season, it let her do her Janis Joplin thing and it was a wow, great song. Jennifer Lopez says the song was totally in Elise’s element and she looked and sounded great; killed it. Steven Tyler says Elise found her stride with the song and sang it like the classic it was.

Vote: 1-866-436-5704

Phillip Phillips – “Fat Bottomed Girls”

Judges: Randy Jackson says that if he is being honest, he liked it but he didn’t really love it, it was just good. Jennifer Lopez says she feels like Phillip gives them different flavors and he can sing like anything. Steven Tyler says he loves watching Phillip sing and he has great character.

Vote: 1-866-436-5705

Hollie Cavanagh – “Save Me”

Judges: The judges are not very pleased really. Randy Jackson says it was a good performance but that she pulled back too far in the song. She needed to have a moment, but it didn’t happen with this song. Jennifer Lopez says Hollie was off a tiny bit when she got emotional in the middle of the song and she is still thinking too much. Steven Tyler says Hollie did a good job and then shuts up.

Vote: 1-866-436-5706

American Idol 2012 Top 6 performances – Song Two

Jessica Sanchez “Dance With My Father” by Luther Vandross

Judges: This one is getting all love from the judges. Steven Tyler says he doesn’t think Jessica can possibly sing anything badly and he says she has her own thing going with touches of Whitney Houston. Jennifer Lopez thinks it was the best performance of that song she’s heard and Jessica was beautiful on it. Randy Jackson says she is amazing and such a natural.

Vote: 1-866-436-5701

Skylar Laine – “Tattoos On This Town” by Jason Aldean

Judges: Steven Tyler says Skylar didn’t quite take the song where she usually does and it lacked a bit of flair. Jennifer Lopez thinks she killed it. Randy Jackson is a huge fan and thinks it was effortless and another great performance.

Vote: 1-866-436-5702

Joshua Ledet – “Ready for Love” by India.Arie

Judges: Steven Tyler says hearing Joshua sing takes him off into another place. Jennifer Lopez says she doesn’t even know what to say, Joshua is transcendent. Randy Jackson says he is speechless and Joshua has so much talent.

Vote: 1-866-436-5703

Elise Testone – “Bold as Love” by Jimmi Hendrix

Judges: Steven Tyler says the song touched his heart but says although he loved it isn’t very well known. Jennifer Lopez agrees the song is more obscure but thinks Elise killed the song. Randy Jackson doesn’t think it was the right song choice and he did not love it.

Vote: 1-866-436-5704

Phillip Phillips – “The Stone” by The Dave Matthews Band

Judges: Steven thought it was off the wall and entertaining but he didn’t like the melody so much. Jennifer Lopez thought Phillip did not sound like Dave Matthews (as he has often been compared to in the media) but the song was too artsy and not the right choice. Randy Jackson says the song worried him but Phillip showed he is a true artist.

Vote: 1-866-436-5705

Hollie Cavanagh – “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus

Judges: Steven Tyler thinks Hollie performed the song beautifully and it was good. Jennifer Lopez thinks Hollie really did well on the song with the emotion and staying on pitch, almost perfect. Randy says this is the Hollie they brought into the competition and she is back.

  1. i’m kinda getting tired of Jessica’s facial expression – it’s the same all the time – the eyes (that pitiful, crybaby look).  I’m a big fan, but now I see why people are criticizing her.  Got to get rid of those same expressions —  the eyes – pity me sorry baby eyes

  2. well sorry to you..soundds like your the crying baby…do u ever see yourself in the mirror..yet

  3. you’re the one with no class trying to put racial overtones on your remark.  and i am not even a filipino…

  4. woh, relax.  you are showing your stupidity and lack of class. your username is such a misnomer

  5. Why is it always have to be jessica…so mean. bullies…
Dont mind them jess…just do your best.

  6. Jessica will win this Idol. I disagree with the judges, she was so emotional with both songs, I got goosies. This is the first time that I disagree with the judges. Jimmy is a wizard, he knows exactly what and who must sing. It is crusial that the last 5 listen to him and take everything to haert. He is the best in the industry, the Idols are so privalige to have him as a couch.

  7. It’s her style u ****! That is called natural! No matter how many times the judges and her critics are talking about her expression, she can’t do it because that’s her u american idiot with no class

  8. atashi mo so omoo da…usotski…and saying that filipino have no class…watch your tongue…you dont know what you are saying…this is a singing competion. jessica is only 16 but she sings great. so omoo da.
