American Idol Alumni Jason Castro Wedding in Texas

American Idol alumni Jason Castro married sweetheart Mandy Mayhall in an intimate wedding ceremony on Saturday. The 22-year-old season 7 American Idol contestant proposed to Mayhall on Halloween while the couple was dressed as the lead characters from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Jason Castro and Mandy Mayhall tied the knot on Saturday near Dallas, Texas following a boy’s night out bachelor party of bowling, poker and pool earlier in the week. Castro confirmed the wedding reports on Sunday, posting on his Twitter feed: “Yesterday I married the girl of my dreams… It couldn’t have been more perfect! Now, honeymoooon!!!”

Well, the wedding probably could have been a bit more perfect. It seems poor Jason Castro has been sick as a dog for several days, posting on Twitter that he had to hole up after the nuptials for “Theraflu and bed.” Not a fun way to spend your wedding night!

Castro will be taking a bit of time to enjoy that honeymoon – hopefully without more Theraflu – and then will be launching a tour later this month in support of his new The Love Uncompromised EP.

   I read that he was to eager do a Home and Away appearence! Lol. Sounds a bit dodgy to me. There’s a part of me that kind of hopes this is true lol.

   Jason didn’t write that the night of his wedding. He wrote theraflu and bed the night before the wedding. I’m sure he enjoyed his wedding night lol
