The last quarterfinals round of America’s Got Talent 2012 takes place tonight, and by tomorrow night we’ll know which America’s Got Talent 2012 acts will be part of the Top 12. The performances tonight include some heavy fan favorites, and some performers that even judge Howard Stern doesn’t understand how they’ve come so far.

WARNING: AMERICA’S GOT TALENT 2012 SPOILERS AHEAD!

This post contains America’s Got Talent 2012 spoilers for the final quarterfinals live performances show. Please stop reading here if you do not want to know what happened!

Tonight on America’s Got Talent 2012 will be the last performances before NBC puts the show on break until after the 2012 London Olympics. I guess they are hoping the America’s Got Talent 2012 fans won’t forget all the contestants and stop giving a damn about them before the show returns for the finals.

Among the America’s Got Talent 2012 contestants tonight are several strong fan favorites, including Earth Harp player Willian Close, who can make an instrument out of an auditorium, and mind reader Eric Dittelman, who is still managing to astound fans with his ‘telepathic’ feats.

Some of the less loved acts of the evening include the animal act Olate Dogs, which I expect will go home in this round, and ‘novelty’ singer Ulysses. Even Howard Stern came out in the press to decry the other America’s Got Talent 2012 judges for voting Ulysses through and promises he will be giving them a piece of his mind over that on tonight’s show.

David “The Bullet” Smith

Our first act on the block tonight is human cannonball David ‘The Bullet’ Smith. Once again, Smith pulls off his seriously incredible stunt of being hurled out of a cannon at 60 MPT and flying 70 feet into the air between two goal posts. While spectacular, I’m left wondering what else is there?  It’s thrilling, but after a while it gets a bit repetitive just watching the same guy get shot out of a big metal gun over and over.

All That

Clogging group All That is up next and they are quite good… for cloggers. Honestly though, is there ever going to be a successful Vegas act around clogging? I’m just not seeing it. Unless, as Sharon Osbourne requests, they start doing their routine shirtless in leather pants…

Ulysses

Ulysses, whom Howard Stern insulted in the press this week for his lack of talent, is really just terrible. I agree with Howard that this guy is just not good and does not deserve to be this far along in the competition. Go sing karoake in a lounge somewhere dude. Howie, apparently being deaf and blind, thinks Ulysses is great, while Sharon is just, well, Sharon.

Joe Castillo – Sand painter

What Joe does is just so beautiful and cool to watch. You can’t help but fall in love with this act and be moved by it, but I just really don’t see how he can possibly win. I really don’t know if he’ll make it through to the next round, even though Howard Stern says he deserves to. Sharon was really touched by the performance and thought it was beautiful. Howie says the combination of talent and message is just spectacular and he hopes America will vote for Joe.

Sebastien El Charro de Oro

Mariachi singer Sebastian El Charro De Oro is an adorable ten year old with a sweet voice and cheeks you just want to pinch until he cries. His act is really quite good although tonight it wasn’t as much so as previously. I just am not seeing “winner” plastered across this kid’s face. The judges adore him across the board though, even Mr. Cranky Howard Stern.

Eric Dittelman

Mind reader and magician Eric Dittelman wows the judges again with his incredible mental feats. Honestly, I am usually very bah about these sorts of acts, but Eric is surprisingly good. Good enough to keep the judges thinking he’s awesome and good enough to keep me wondering how the heck he does it all. The judges seem to think he is a given to make it through to the Top 12 and I tend to agree.

William Close

Instrument maker and musician William Close nearly quit playing after he lost everything he had in a fire, but luckily for us he forged on. Close is just amazing. I have no idea if he can be a huge hit with this act, but I just watch him with my jaw hanging open and that can’t be a bad thing. The judges are also dumbfounded by his talent. Howard says they should just give him the million dollars, he’s that extraordinary.

Unity in Motion

Unity of Motion is a really good dance crew, but let’s be honest, they aren’t anything that outrageously spectacular. Fun to watch, but not a million dollar act. Sharon urges their fans to call in, probably because she knows they just aren’t going to make it through to tne next round. Howie and Howard both give praise, but imply this is probably the end for them.

Eric and Olivia

Eric and Olivia are the couple who is not a couple. Two University of Texas students when they met, it is obvious he’s totally gaga over her, and she really couldn’t care less except he’s a vehicle to her stardom. They are nice and they sound good, but this is not a million dollar act. Hell, I really don’t think they are even a future highly successful musical act. Honestly, they are kind of fun to listen to, but nothing huge. The judges aren’t that glowing about them either.

Lindsey Norton

Acrobatic dancer Lindsey Norton is just beautiful to watch. She dances tonight to a Cirque de Soleil theme. She says it was watching Cirque de Soleil that inspired her to dance. All the judges adore her and hope that she goes through.

Horse

All I have to say about the next act, Horse, is that if America rewards this guy a million dollars for being repeatedly kicked in the balls, I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.

Olate Dogs

The Olate Dogs act gets a standing ovation and seriously, I just don’t get it. Maybe I just don’t think it is as big a deal for a bunch of dogs to follow commands. To me this is not a talent, it is just excellent training. This is America’s Got Talent, not America’s Got Training. Oh well, the audience seems to love them and so do the judges.
