Austin Mahone Tour Cancelled, Singer Very Sick in Hospital

What is wrong with Austin Mahone? The 17-year-old YouTube celebrity turned pop singer sensation has been forced to cancel his entire MTV Artist to Watch Presents Tour. Austin was rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning. He posted an Instagram pic of himself in a hospital gown with the caption: “I’ve never felt so bad.” In fact, Austin was looking pretty much as bad as he felt.

Austin initially posted that he would be postponing the first two tour dates in Miami and Orlando on Thursday and Friday. Shortly afterward, his reps announced the entire Austin Mahone tour had been cancelled.

“Due to illness, Austin Mahone will unfortunately have to postpone his sold out MTV Artist to Watch Presents Tour to 2014. The singer, who fell ill earlier this week and already postponed his Miami and Orlando shows, is now on strict Dr.’s orders to stay on rest and will need to reschedule all dates on the tour. The tour featured support artists Becky G, Midnight Red, and W3 The Future. Ticket holders for the sold out tour will be notified of the new 2014 dates and all details as soon as possible.”

Austin posted to Twitter that he “can’t believe this is happening its my first tour I’m so upset. I feel like I’m letting you all down.” The YouTube star’s fans, however, quickly reassured him that everyone gets sick and they forgive him for missing his tour dates.

So what is wrong with Austin Mahone and why has he been forced to cancel his entire tour? The young singer posted a message on Twitter after the announcement saying he has “a bad flu 103 fever and I can’t move. If I could go I would.”

Austin’s mother, Michele Mahone, took over the singer’s Twitter feed on Thursday night. She confirmed the announcement that his tour would be cancelled and said “Austin is very upset about this & we want to say we are sorry to all the Mahomies & their parents who have made arrangements to come out.” She thanked fans for their support and prayers, adding the hashtag #PrayforAustin and another pic of Austin being treated in the hospital.
