Another Kardashian to Make its Appearance

In case you forgot Kourtney Kardashian even had a child to begin with, get ready to (painfully) remember. The reality star just announced she’s pregnant with her second child. The 32-year-old apparently found out five weeks ago and first told longtime boyfriend Scott Disick (duh), then wanted to wait a bit to tell people. She didn’t wait the traditional 12 weeks, but she said she feels confident at sharing the news when only nine weeks along.

Mason – the couple’s first child – came as a bit of a surprise but Scott says this pregnancy wasn’t completely unplanned. Just in case you’re not sure what “not completely unplanned” means, Scott explains: “It wasn’t like we weren’t trying … We kind of just said, ‘If it’s meant to be, it’ll be.’”

Hopefully, being the least egregious of the Kardashian sisters, Kourtney’s choice to bring another life into the world won’t cause some K-shaped rift in the universe.

PanAm Ending Production but not Canceled

It doesn’t seem to be a good sign that new show Pan Am will have a truncated season, but ABC denied rumors that the show would be canceled entirely. Yesterday, one of the show’s stars, Karine Vanesse, tweeted that Pan Am will only have one episode after Christmas, then will be on hiatus, but that doesn’t appear to be entirely true. However, ABC responded by saying:  “Nothing has changed. We are not canceling ‘Pan Am’. We are still in production and will continue to be in production finishing the original 13 episodes plus one more additional one.”

The network’s decision on whether or not to renew the show for another season will be announced in May with the rest of its fall lineup. Vanesse cleared up the confusion by elaborating: there will still be five new episodes, taking the show through February.

Whatever the case, ABC seems to have a plethora of shows to choose from and so the drama – starring Chistina Ricci and telling the tale of some of the airline’s first flight attendants –  has more to compete with.

Can’t Get Enough Office? Buy Dunder Mifflin.

We’re surprised this hasn’t already happened on some fan website somewhere. Or maybe it has. But now it’s official: the fictional paper brand, Dunder Mifflin, portrayed in The Office, is coming to the real world. In a deal between Quill.com (owned by Staples) and NBC Universal, cartons of Dunder Mifflin-branded paper can be yours.

NBC made a two-year licensing deal with the office supply company that will get it six percent of the profits from the sale of the paper. And it might actually be a practical financial purchase. According to the AP: Each box of 20-pound Dunder Mifflin paper — that’s 5,000 sheets — will set you back $34.99, compared to $39.90 for the next cheapest brand of similar weight and color copy paper.”

Economics aside, we love it for its appeal to rabid fans of The Office.  Not that there are any of those around here …

Tobey Maguire Has No More Cards Left to Show in Poker Lawsuit.

Turns out Spiderman’s only weakness isn’t love interest Mary Jane. This time it’s poker. Well, that appears to be the alleged achilles heel for Tobey Maguire anyway. Maguire agreed to pay $80,000 to settle a lawsuit over high-stakes and perhaps illegal poker game.

The man bringing the suit claimed he lost $311,300 to the actor during various poker games. The suit makes the case that the winnings came from illegal games and therefore it was money Maguire was obligated to return.

Maguire initially contested the games weren’t illegal, but seems to be admitted guilt with his willingness to pay the guy off. That, or he just wants to issue to go away. For Maguire, $80K may seem like a small price to pay to get a sore loser off his back.

Anne Hathaway to Tie the Knot!

Actress Anne Hathaway, who’s played a princess in the movies, will soon get her own fairy tale day. She recently got engaged to boyfriend Adam Shulman and although her spokesperson didn’t provide many other details we’re hoping she had the perfect proposal and will soon start planning a wedding fit for a princess.

29-year-old Hathaway has been dating her now-fiancee – an actor and jewelry designer – since 2008. It’s always amazing when two actors manage to sustain a relationship for any length of time, and are able to keep themselves out of the tabloids, which these two seem to have done. This bodes well for their future since very few relationships are able to long endure the scrutiny of the spotlight.

Of course, Hathaway’s had her share of the spotlight. The  “Princess Diaries” and “The Devil Wears Prada” star went through a public break-up with ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri when he was arrested and pleaded guilty on fraud charges.

Hathaway stars in upcoming superhero film “The Dark Knight Rises,” playing Catwoman opposite Christian Bale as Batman.

Christian Bale Hanging up his Batman Cape

Get your Christian-Bale-As-Batman fix now, because it may be your last chance. Bale alluded to the fact that his third time as Gotham’s caped crusader – in The Dark Knight Rises – may be his last time. During an interview he said:

“I wrapped a few days ago, so that will be the last time I’m taking that cowl off … that will be the end of that Batman era.”

And this isn’t the first time he’s indicated that he’s run his course as Batman. He also told E! that unless director Christopher Nolan says differently, this would be the last time he played the role.

Joining Bale in “The Dark Knight Rises” are Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anne Hathaway, as Catwoman.

Chaz Bono Engaged

Chaz Bono and girlfriend Jennifer Elia are officially engaged! The couple has been planning on getting married for a while now but Chaz finally made it official by giving Jennifer a ring. The proposal was shown last night in a one-hour special called “Being Chaz,” a follow-up to “Becoming Chaz” (the Emmy-nominated documentary that followed Chaz’s transgender process).

The pair has actually been engaged for the past two years but wanted to put off getting married until Chaz finished his transgender process. Not to mention his six-week run on Dancing With the Stars which no doubt put increased stress and time constraints on the couple.

Jennifer, who identifies as bisexual, told CNN’s Piers Morgan that she finds her fiance more attractive as a man.
