“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan,” the statement said. “Jimmy was not only one of the world’s best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy’s family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time… Jimmy you are forever in your hearts. We love you.”

  1. we all are going to miss him very sad moments come to deal with and this is the hardest one. RIP REV 🙁

  2. Mike Portnoy has been replacing the Rev as a7x drummer, but Mike isn’t as good as the Rev. The bits over the drum doesn’t hear when Mike play the drum. Mike will never replace The Rev. The Rev is Best Drummer in the world.

Rev, Why you must go on. I can’t receive that. You are is my most favorite drummer. I pray for you for “having a little peace in heaven.”
