Former American Idol hopeful Brittany Kerr has now issued her own apology over the Jason Aldean cheating incident. Married country star Jason Aldean apologized this week to his fans for groping and making out with Brittany Kerr in a bar last week.
“The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part,” former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr said in her apology over the Jason Aldean cheating scandal. “I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends and family.”
We previously reported on the Jason Aldean cheating incident and his subsequent apology yesterday. The country singer was photographed fondling and kissing Brittany Kerr on the public patio of a crowded bar on the Sunset strip last week. Brittany reportedly told friends after the story broke that she did not know Jason Aldean was married when she was making out with him.
If she really did not know he was married, why is she now apologizing for a ‘lapse in judgement’? Does that mean she really did know he was married and snogged him anyway? Or was she just apologizing for massive PDA in a public place because she was drunk off her ass or something? Of course, she could just be desperate to say anything that will get people to shut up and leave her the hell alone.
Brittany Kerr received so much hate directed at her on Twitter because of the Jason Aldean cheating incident, she ended up deleting her account. Meanwhile, Aldean’s fans have mostly been quite supportive on his Facebook page and Twitter feed, chalking up the scandal to a guy just ‘being human’ and making a forgivable mistake.
I truly hope his wife is not going to be so blindly forgiving. I don’t care how drunk Jason Aldean says he was. From how comfortable he looked in the photos putting the moves on Brittany Kerr, and the pure disrespect of his wife by groping a chick in a such a public setting, I would bet this isn’t the first time he’s strayed…
