#OscarsSoWhite Hashtag Goes Viral, Academy Awards Boycott Launched

Acclaimed film director Spike Lee, activist movie maker Michael Moore, actor and rapper Snoop Dog, and actress Jada Pinkett-Smith have all declared their intention to boycott the 2016 Academy Awards. They are just three prominent names among a host of outraged Hollywood movers and shakers who are rallying behind the #OscarsSoWhite boycott campaign.

The 88th Annual Academy Awards will be aired on ABC starting at 7PM ET/4PM PT on Sunday, February 28th. However, there will be quite a few Hollywood notables who won’t be showing up for the event due to what is being called the ‘whitewashing’ of the Oscars. The complaints have been going around for years that the Academy Awards lack diversity among nominees, but this year’s nominations have sparked an all-out, star-studded boycott. Just taking a look at the Oscars website homepage might be a good indication why.

Bruce Jenner Sex Change Docuseries Production Delayed

It looks like we may have to wait a little longer than expected to see the Bruce Jenner sex change docuseries, as he apparently has put a hold on the production of the show due to family concerns. If this is legit, I respect Bruce for his choices and putting his sons’ thoughts ahead of some ratings on television for his transitioning into a women TV show!

According to TMZ, Jenner told production a couple weeks ago that they were rushing him and he was feeling the pressure to get it taped for a May release date. He is not sure how his sons feel about it all quite yet and want them to be in “a good place” before putting it all out there on air!

Zac Efron Beaten Up By Homeless Guys?

What in the world is going on with Zac Efron? He’s reportedly been in rehab twice now for an alleged cocaine addiction. We still don’t know what exactly happened with that mysterious incident where he broke his jaw last year. And in the latest incident, Zac was apparently beaten up by a couple of homeless guys?

According to the latest gossip from TMZ.com, Zac Efron ended up in a “full-blown melee with at least three other people” in a sketchy part of Los Angeles on Sunday night. The fight was broken up by police officers patrolling the area.

Philip Seymour Hoffman suicide? Whether he meant to it or not, that’s exactly what happened. The Hunger Games and Capote star killed himself over the weekend and we are more angry than sad about his death.

Let’s be honest, whether it is politically correct or not. We have to stop glossing over these deaths and calling them ‘accidents’ and ‘terrible tragedies’ and celebrating celebrities who kill themselves with drugs and alcohol if it is ever going to stop.

We’re just sick of it. We are exhausted by people who have fame, power, wealth and often, beautiful families, who keep wasting their lives like this. Heath Ledger, Amy Winehouse, Corey Monteith, and now Philip Seymour Hoffman dead as well. The list just goes on and on and on. Yes, addiction is a disease.

Alec Baldwin Did Not Call Photographer F*g, Just C**kSucker

30 Rock star Alec Baldwin wants you to know that he would never call a photographer a “c**ksucking f*g” because “anty-gay slurs are wrong.” However, it is apparently quite okay to call a member of the paparazzi a “c**sucking fathead” instead.

We don’t really get how calling a male reporter a ‘c**ksucker’ is less of an anti-gay slur than calling him a f*g but that’s Alec Baldwin logic for you. One slur pretty much means the other if you are directing it toward a man. If you were calling a lady a c**ksucker, that would be an entirely different kind of insulting behavior.
