While reviews of The Dark Knight Rises trailer video so far have been overwhelmingly positive, fans and critics do have one small worry about the film’s mysterious villain Bane, played by actor Tom Hardy. The problem is that the masked bad guy famous for breaking Batman’s back isn’t always the easiest to understand. In fact, at some point in the film, rumor has it, he is damn near unintelligible.
There is no question that The Dark Knight Rises trailer video is thrilling fun and bodes very well for the movie being a great ride. The dark, heavy feel of the trailer gifts us with an intriguing sense of foreboding. Tom Hardy as Bane is as threatening of an evil Batman villain as one could wish (maybe not up to Heath Ledger as the Joker standards, but who can really top that?). Anne Hathaway is beautiful and delicious to watch as Catwoman Selina Kyle. And, of course, Christian Bale is back as a Batman who is both hero and human in equal parts and all the more poignant for being so.

Rumors that Winehouse’s ex Reg Traviss has been trying to produce a film about the singer have contributed to fanning the flames about a possible Amy Winehouse movie. The specific rumor of a biopic movie possibly starring Lady Gaga as Amy Winehouse appears to have been spawned by the UK Mirror tabloid.

The official G.I. Joe: Retaliation Trailer video has finally been released by Paramount and it comes with a big shock. Unlike the previous G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie back in 2009, this action-packed, explosive sequel looks like it might just be surprisingly awesome.
Since the original launch of the toy line way back in 1964, little boys and girls have imagined the patriotic adventures of G.I. Joe. Many of us grew up with G.I. Joe at the height of the brand’s popularity in the 1980’s when the toys were translated to animated characters for TV. Fans of G.I. Joe waited impatiently for decades to finally see the action figures brought to live action life on the big screen.
Unfortunately, many fans ended up a bit disappointed with the 2009 G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie directed by Stephen Sommers. Even before the movie hit theaters, fans were already strongly criticizing leaked drafts of the script. Although G.I. Joe comic book writer Larry Hama was brought on as a creative consultant for rewrites, the film still received lackluster, negative reviews from fans and critics.

Two more new major superhero movies are on the way and it is hard to decide which one to look forward to more. Hell, it’s hard enough to figure out which poster to like better! First there is The Amazing Spider-Man poster, featuring star Andrew Garfield hanging off a wall. Then there is Chris Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises poster, featuring a dark image of Tom Hardy‘s villain Bane standing over a broken batman mask.
The Amazing Spider-Man is a brand new reboot of the Spider-Man comic mythology, while The Dark Knight Rises is the end of an era of Chris Nolan batman movies starring Christian Bale. While it would be somewhat honest to say it’s getting tired to see Hollywood rehashing the same superheroes over and over and over — well, they keep making money off of doing it. I admit, I’ll probably be seeing both of these movies myself. I’m a superhero addict, I just can’t help myself.

Sex and the City might not seem to go too well with Star Trek, but it appears that J.J. Abams chose Alice Eve – of SATC fame – to star in his newest sci-fi movie, Star Trek 2. There’s not an official deal, but word is that Paramount Pictures will ink a deal with the actress soon.
It’s just not clear who, exactly, Eve will be playing. It looks like the 29-year-old star will make an appearance as an altogether new character in this sequel. Other actresses vying for the part were Teresa Palmer and Hayley Atwell.
And even once this deal is official, there’s still one more role to cast, reportedly for a villain-type character.
The production of “Star Trek 2” is expected to kick off in early 2012 as the film is scheduled to open on May 17, 2013. So we’ll have to subsist on these tidbits of news as we get them, and wait another year and a half before we can see what transpires on-screen.
Actress Anne Hathaway, who’s played a princess in the movies, will soon get her own fairy tale day. She recently got engaged to boyfriend Adam Shulman and although her spokesperson didn’t provide many other details we’re hoping she had the perfect proposal and will soon start planning a wedding fit for a princess.
29-year-old Hathaway has been dating her now-fiancee – an actor and jewelry designer – since 2008. It’s always amazing when two actors manage to sustain a relationship for any length of time, and are able to keep themselves out of the tabloids, which these two seem to have done. This bodes well for their future since very few relationships are able to long endure the scrutiny of the spotlight.
Of course, Hathaway’s had her share of the spotlight. The  “Princess Diaries” and “The Devil Wears Prada” star went through a public break-up with ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri when he was arrested and pleaded guilty on fraud charges.
Hathaway stars in upcoming superhero film “The Dark Knight Rises,” playing Catwoman opposite Christian Bale as Batman.
Get your Christian-Bale-As-Batman fix now, because it may be your last chance. Bale alluded to the fact that his third time as Gotham’s caped crusader – in The Dark Knight Rises – may be his last time. During an interview he said:
“I wrapped a few days ago, so that will be the last time I’m taking that cowl off … that will be the end of that Batman era.”
And this isn’t the first time he’s indicated that he’s run his course as Batman. He also told E! that unless director Christopher Nolan says differently, this would be the last time he played the role.
Joining Bale in “The Dark Knight Rises” are Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anne Hathaway, as Catwoman.
