Original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson has been talking for months about babies. The newly married singer has made it very clear that the present she wants for Christmas is a baby on the way. In nearly every interview she’s given lately, Kelly has been talking about how she ready she is to have a child with husband Brandon Blackstock. Now it seems like maybe she has gotten her wish!
On Jay Leno last night, Kelly was all about the babies again, telling the talk show host she and her hubby have been working hard to get pregnant. “Practice makes perfect!” Kelly said. Of course, Jay Leno had to ask if Kelly might already be knocked up.
Some things are just better kept private and we think Simon Cowell’s former lover deciding to abort his baby is one of those things. Apparently, however, The X Factor host’s ex-girlfriend Sinitta thinks it is someone that everyone should know about.
Simon Cowell is currently expecting his first baby with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, the soon-to-be ex-wife of his former close friend Andrew Silverman. Lauren and her husband filed for divorce in July after it was revealed she was pregnant with Simon’s baby. The former American Idol judge and New York socialite allegedly plan to wed as soon as she’s free and clear from her current husband.
An American Idol lawsuit brought by former contestants on the show accusing producers of racial discrimination will move forward. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has ruled that 10 black American Idol hopefuls who were disqualified from the show for reasons other than their singing will be allowed to sue FOX and the show’s production company, 19 Entertainment.
The plaintiffs in the American Idol lawsuit claim that the show has demonstrated a pattern of racial discrimination over the show’s history. They are accusing producers of using the arrest records of black male contestants against them to get them kicked off the show. According to the suit, 31 percent of black American idol semi-finalists were disqualified for reasons “unrelated to their singing talent.” Moreover, the lawsuit claims that no white or non-black contestant has ever been disqualified from American Idol on the series.
Fabulous news to all those Keith Urban lovers out there hoping to see him as a judge again on American Idol 2014! It’s official, Keith will be coming back as an American Idol season 13 judge. We’re pleased as punch that the nice guy finished first, since the country star has stated repeatedly how much he wanted to come back. However, we really hope he will step up his game a bit and lay off the corny jokes a little this time around.
“Keith did a great job last year. The fans really liked him. Keith’s a really funny guy,” Fox entertainment chief Kevin Reilly said at a Television Critics Association meeting on Thursday. “You could see how much he loved the show.”
Nicki Minaj wants to leave American Idol after contestant eliminated, video below. Curtis Finch Jr. surprisingly earned the lowest amount of votes, despite earning a standing ovation from the judges just last week. Nicki Minajwas shocked, and actually got up from the judges’ table, and started walking away mouthing “I’m done.”
Nicki Minaj leaves American Idol set after blow out audition fight with judges, video below. It was reported back in October that there was major drama on the Idol set, yet nobody knew what caused it until tonight when she show aired. Tonight we got a feast of the big mouth who is Minaj.
The conflict began as Mariah Carey,Randy Jackson and Keith Urban questioned contestant Summer Cunningham’s interest in country music. Minaj accused the trio of “picking her apart,” while the other judges insisted they just wanted to know more in order to help. “You’re right. I can’t help her,” replied Minaj sarcastically before storming off the set, saying, ”Maybe I should just get off the f**king panel… I’m over it.”
The American Idol 2013 season premiere is less than two weeks away! Can you believe it is already time for American Idol season 12? There are lots of changes in store for the new crop of hopeful contestants, including a brand new panel of American Idol 2013 judges: Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and — the only returning judge — Randy Jackson.
In addition to an almost entirely new panel of American Idol season 12 judges, there are rumors of other major changes to how things may work this time around. One strong rumor in particular indicates that it will be the judges, not the voters, who narrow the field down to the top 10 or 12 to make sure the ‘right’ kind of finalists end up going into the live shows.
