The first CBS Big Brother 14 cast promos were released on July 4th and the new Big Brother 14 houseguests look like a very interesting group indeed. Plus, one of the new Big Brother 2012 cast members has a very personal connection with a previous Survivor cast member!
In my first glance at the CBS Big Brother 14 cast so far, I’m a bit surprised at the lack of diversity. I’m less surprised that CBS Big Brother seems to be recycling various Big Brother stereotype characters once again. I wonder if there will ever again be a Big Brother cast without a ‘model’ for example or some variation on the hot but kind of scary cocktail waitress/VIP server/bartender chick. Oh well. Although we won’t really know much more about the new CBS Big Brother 14 cast members until tomorrow, when we will reportedly have the official ‘reveal’ of all the new Big Brother 14 houseguests, we did find out one very interesting little tidbit to share with you. Turns out that Willie Hantz, seen in the promo above, is actually the brother of supervillian Russell Hantz from Russell Hantz from Survivor: Samoa, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains and Survivor: Redemption Island.

Out of all the reality shows minus the bachelor/bachlorette…Big Brother is probably the least diverse
