On Celebrity Apprentice last night, Donald Trump handed out pink slips right and left. Three contestants were sent home in one firing bonanza, leaving Bret Michaels and Holly Robinson Peete to battle it out to become the Celebrity Apprentice winner of 2010.
Wrestler Maria Kanellis was the first to go in a sudden elimination after failing to impress the Donald. After enduring an intensive interview session with Apprentice winner Bill Rancic, celebrity chef Curtis Stone was also handed his walking papers.
Although we hate to see her go, Sharon Osbourne was the last of the night to get booted. We do have to say she was getting on our nerves a bit with the weepy whining, but we still love her. Ciao Sharon!
That leaves former Poison frontman Bret Michaels and actress Holly Robinson Peete to battle it out in the finale. Despite still being in recovery from a massive brain hemorrhage, Michaels is expected to participate in the live finale on May 23.
Holly Robinson Peete is competing to win for the HollyRod Foundation, while Bret Michaels is playing in support of Camps for Kids with Diabetes with the American Diabetes Association.
Throughout the season, Bret Michaels has proven to be an extremely strong competitor. Although Peete has certainly worked the game to the hilt, we’re calling this one for Michaels. Maybe we’re just feeling a bit sentimental after him nearly biting it, but we think he deserves the win for playing with class rather than cold calculation.
