Chelsea Clinton Engaged to Banker Marc Mezvinsky

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton has officially announced her engagement to investment banker Marc Mezvinsky. Clinton and Mezvinsky announced the engagement to friends on Friday via e-mail.

Unlike rumors last summer Clinton and Mezvinsky would shortly be tying the knot, this time the news is official. A rep for former president Bill Clinton confirmed the engagement in a press statement on Monday.

Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky met as teenagers and both attended Stanford University. Mezvinsky is the son of former Pennsylvania Representative Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky and former Iowa Representative Ed Mezvinsky. Mezvinsky currently works as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs.

Chelsea Clinton, daughter to former president Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is currently attending Columbia University’s School of Public Health graduate program.

No date has yet been set for the wedding.
