Actress Cybill Shepherd‘s son, 22-year-old Cyrus ‘Zack’ Shepherd-Oppenheim, was arrested early Tuesday morning on charges of stealing from airline passengers on a flight from San Francisco to Philadelphia. According to Philadelphia police, Shepherd is accused of stealing cash, a digital camera and other items from fellow passengers’ carry-on luggage.
Cyrus Shepherd-Oppenheim was arrested around midnight at the Philadelphia International Airport after exiting United Airlines Flight 186 from San Francisco. Two passengers reportedly accused him of rummaging through their carry-on bags and taking items from them.
Shepherd-Oppenheim allegedly took a small travel bag, a makeup case, a digital camera and an unidentified amount of cash. The camera was reportedly found in Shepherd-Oppenheim’s seat and other missing items were discovered in the airplane’s bathroom trash bin. Witnesses told police they saw the 22-year-old searching through carry-on luggage belonging to other passengers during the flight.
Cyrus ‘Zack’ Shepherd-Oppenheim has been charged with theft, unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. He currently remains in police custody at this time.
