WARNING: DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL STARS SPOILERS AHEAD!
This post contains Dancing With the Stars 2012 All Stars spoilers for the week 10 finals performances. Please stop reading here if you do not want to know what happens!
Kelly Monaco, Melissa Rycroft and Shawn Johnson are the last celebrity dancers left standing on Dancing With the Stars All Stars 2012. This is the first time in the history of DWTS that three women have competed in the finals round. So no matter what happens, the first Dancing With the Stars All Stars winner and champion is going to be a lady. Personally, I’m not displeased with that at all. You go girls!
All three ladies have experienced the excitement of reaching the Dancing with the Stars finals in their previous seasons. Shawn Johnson and Kelly Monaco have already won championship trophies in their original DWTS seasons. Only Melissa Rycroft has not yet tasted the sweet flavor of being a Dancing With the Stars winner.
On Dancing With the Stars All Stars 2012 tonight, the three remaining competitors will be dancing live for the public vote once again. The ladies will each perform two dances this evening in the two-hour final performance show. They will dance a favorite from earlier in the season and a freestyle routine.
Three contestants remain, but in the end there can be only one DWTS All Stars winner. Who will we find out won Dancing With the Stars All Stars on Tuesday night’s elimination results show? Tune in with us for our live Dancing With the Stars All Stars finals recap right here at 8PM ET and let us know who you think will win this season!
RECAP: Let’s get started with tonight’s show!
Round 1: Favorite Dances
Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy – Paso Doble
Judges: Len says it is their absolute best dance to date. Well done. He also thanks the dance because without music, dance is just a movement. Bruno says they were fueled by passion and driven by desire. The dance was polished and artistic. Kelly burned the floor like a fire angel and was magnificent and beautiful. Carrie Ann says she is so very proud of Kelly because she has had to struggle the most to get to the finals. There was a little bit of a slip-up, but she dug deep and it was her best dance.
Scores: Len – 10, Bruno – 10, Carrie Ann – 9.5 = 29.5 of 30
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani – Samba
Judges: Len says Melissa had great technique and rhythm. She captured the feeling of the Samba perfectly. It was fabulous! Bruno says it was a wonderful blend of moves and the technique was excellent. He says she is a delicious, irresistible, Brazilian bombshell. She has really blossomed. Carrie Ann says woman to woman, Melissa’s abs are just ridiculous honey! She says her solo was fabulous
Scores: Len – 10, Bruno – 10, Carrie Ann – 10 = 30 of 30
Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough – Quickstep
Judges: Unfortunately Shawn Johnson is not going to get away with breaking the rules this time as much as she has before. Len says that although it was a fantastic routine, she is not allowed to break hold or do lifts and she did both. That doesn’t leave him any choice about scoring. Bruno says it was truly sensational, but the scores are bound by rules. All season they have been pushing the boundaries. Carrie Ann says it was a fan favorite but she is sad they did not follow the rules because it matters in the finals. She hopes the risk pays off for them.
Scores: Len – 8.5, Bruno – 9.5, Carrie Ann – 9 = 27 of 30
(I honestly don’t get why Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough broke the rules on this routine KNOWING it would bring down their scores when they were in absolutely the strongest position to win going into tonight’s performances… it’s almost like they are intentionally trying NOT to win… hmmmm. Melissa, who scored perfect in her first routine does happen to be the only one without a DWTS title. But those DWTS is rigged conspiracy theories are all BS, right? Hmmmm.)
Round 2: Freestyle
Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy – Freestyle
Judges: Len says he thought the opening was just spectacular. However, it lacked a bit of originality. But the dance was spellbinding and great! Bruno says he loved the combination of the cirque du soleil (he says that a lot) and Dirty Dancing. Their chemistry was never more on than tonight. They were totally in tune. Carrie Ann says they have all been watching them grow as a coupple… she teases that she doesn’t know if it is a real couple… and how it has played into their dancing. They made it into a beautiful love story.
Scores: Len – 9.5, Bruno – 10, Carrie Ann – 10 = 29.5 of 30 (59 of 60)
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani – Freestyle
Judges: Len says the dance was wonderful and had passion, truly wonderful! Len is overwhelmed. Bruno says it was a perfect setting to showcase all of her extraordinary qualities. She was a fantastic gem! Carrie Ann says it was such a huge risk but with great risk comes great reward and she hit the jackpot.
Scores: Len – 10, Bruno – 10, Carrie Ann – 10 = 30 of 30 (Total: 60 of 60)
(Hmmmmm, another perfect score for Melissa Rycroft… the only one of the three not to have a championship yet…)
Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough – Freestyle
Judges: Len says you have to expect the unexpected in freestyle and it was a gold medal performance! A medley of their greatest hits. Bruno says it was fierce, flawless and brilliant. The crowing glory of a terrific night and astonishing. Carrie Ann says it was incredible and super-sized. The dance was sensational. She is so proud.
Scores: Len – 10, Bruno – 10, Carrie Ann – 10 = 30 of 30 (Total: 57 of 60)
(Okay, so maybe that conspiracy theory is bunk after all… although Melissa is now in the lead in the scores going into the finale tomorrow night…)
