Dancing With the Stars All Stars 2012 will be airing tonight, despite Hurricane Sandy disrupting programming on CBS and other networks. The Dancing With the Stars 2012 All Stars cast will be hitting the dance floor for a country-themed showdown tonight at about the same time as the worst of Hurricane Sandy hits the U.S. While millions of Americans will unfortunately be in the dark by the end of the night, the show must still go on. So join us here for our live Dancing With the Stars All Stars recap to watch the performances and see who will be the stars of country week!
WARNING: DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL STARS SPOILERS AHEAD!
This post contains Dancing With the Stars 2012 All Stars spoilers for the week 6 performances. Please stop reading here if you do not want to know what happens!
Last week on Dancing With the Stars 2012 All Stars featured two nights of ‘guilty pleasures’ dance routines that happily ended with no one being eliminated in Dancing With the Stars All Stars 2012. Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd stole the show with an almost perfect score routine and they were part of the winning team in the group number as well.
Kelly Monaco and Val Chermokovskiy ended up on the bottom of the DWTS All Stars 2012 score board last week after Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy actually managed to beat them by a solid point. Kirstie and Maks were still, however, the second to last team. Despite Kirstie Alley’s obvious popularity with her fans on Dancing With the Stars All Stars 2012, it seems fairly likely she will not survive the elimination results show this week.
On tonight’s performance show, each DWTS All Stars 2012 couple will perform to a hit country song. All of the celebrities will have to perform a solo during their routine. After the couple dances, there will be a big group number featuring all the couples in a freestyle dance.
CMA Award-nominated group Little Big Town will make a guest appearance, performing “Pontoon” with accompaniment by the Troupe. Big & Rich will also give a guest performance with Cowboy Troy, featuring a medley of songs for the group dance.
Who will show off their best Southern style in the country week performances tonight? Our live Dancing With the Stars All Stars 2012 recap starts right here at 8PM ET!
Starting off the show tonight, we have a performance from Little Big Town of “Pontoon” with the Troupe kicking it up country style.
I’m just not a big fan of country music in general, but I have to say I’m kind of looking forward to seeing the routines tonight. Watching the silliness unfold should be a nice break from my other screen currently live streaming Hurricane Sandy coverage.
Gilles Marini & Peta Murgatroyd – Cha Cha to “Man, I Feel Like a Woman”
Judges: Len says Gilles gives it 100% when he comes out, but his legs were a bit loose tonight. This kind of performance is what he wants to se thoughe. Bruno says he has no idea what country that dance was from, but he’d like to go there. It was a full on sexy dance and his solo was great. The performance was magnificent. Carrie Ann has a bit of fun with joking about being strapped into her chair tonight so she doesn’t accidentally fall out of it again. She thinks the dance was very creative and great for both of them. The dance was sexy and appropriate. Gilles needs to be careful of his hands though, he has to get ride of the T-Rex hands.

Bruno says Melissa has a soul that is absolutely exquisite. She has the style and it was weightless, beautiful and fluid. It was love in the great outdoors. Carrie Ann says Melissa’s feet were on the ground during the lift. She has beautiful lines but she is too internal and needs to dance it out more. Bruno and Len do not agree with Carrie Ann at all.

Bruno says there is no question that Apolo is a leading man with such ease of movement. He was graceful and his interaction with Karina was excellent. Carrie Ann says the dance was poetry in motion and was full of intention. She says it was a breakthrough dance and she is so proud of him.
Scores: Len – 10, Bruno – 10, Carrie Ann – 10 = 30 of 30
Emmitt Smith and Cherly Burke – Foxtrot to “Islands In the Stream” by Dolly Parton
Judges: Len says it lacked a bit of finesse in places but it was entertaining. Bruno says he loves Emmitt and his attitude is brilliant. It was country fun fair but he lost a few passes. Carrie Ann says Emmitt lost his timing coming down the stairs, but his solo made up for it.

He says Kirstie rides again. He loved Apolo’s lift and Melissa’s lasso. Carrie Ann says everyone did a great job. This was her favorite number since Drew and Cheryl performed it.
