Who was the unfortunate celebrity victim from the Dancing With the Stars 2012 elimination results on Tuesday night? Well, you might just be rather surprised at who got sent home! My prediction for who would be the target of the Dancing With the Stars elimination this week was certainly all wrong.
This week on Dancing With the Stars 14, five couples were tied for last place going into the elimination results. Jack Wagner and Anna Trebunskaya; Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus; Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy; Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy; and Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff all scored 24 points out of 30 with their routines from Monday night’s ‘personal story’ performances.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD — STOP now if you haven’t watched Tuesday’s Dancing With the Stars 19 episode and don’t want to know the results!
Based on their track record so far, and back to back bad performances, I had guessed it would be singer Gavin DeGraw and partner Karina Smirnoff who would be headed home from the Dancing With the Stars 2012 elimination on Tuesday. They did end up in the bottom two, but it turns out they were not the ones going home and I was totally wrong on that one.
The person eliminated did turn out to be a guy, just not the one many seemed to expect. Instead of Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff getting the boot, it was actually former soap actor and Melrose Place star Jack Wagner. The 52-year-old actor just didn’t get enough support from the voters for his samba with partner Anna Trebunskaya. The low votes combined with the judges scores just weren’t enough to get him through this round.
“I just had a great time. It was fun to test myself and thanks to the judges,” Wagner said in response to his Dancing With the Stars elimination. “Good luck to everybody else, all the contestants.” As he headed home, Wagner expressed his gratitude for the chance to on DWTS 2012 and for having such a great partner. “It’s been such a great ride,” he said. “I love Anna. I’m so grateful for her.”
With Jack Wagner gone, we are now down to the Dancing With the Stars 2012 top ten: singers Gladys Knight, Katherine Jenkins and Gavin DeGraw; actors William Levy, Melissa Gilbert, Jaleel White and Roshon Fegan; TV personalities Maria Menounos and Sherri Shepherd; and NFL player Donald Driver.
Next week on Dancing With the Stars 14, the remaining celebrities will dance to a rock ‘n’ roll song. I am already predicting that if Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff end up in the bottom two again, this time they are not going to get a save from the voters.
