Dancing With the Stars 2012 Elimination Results: Week 4 (VIDEO)

On the Dancing With the Stars 2012 elimination results show for week 4, it was hard to predict who would be going home this round. While some couples who have been lingering in the bottom did better during the ‘rock week’ performances, a few favorites actually scored quite low with the judges, making it harder to figure out who exactly the voters would decide should go home. So who got voted off Dancing With the Stars this week? Read on to find out!

On the bottom following Monday night’s ‘rock week’ performances, we had Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus (20 points), Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy (20 points), Jaleel White and Kym Johnson (22 points), and Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy (22 points). However, the judges scores only count for so much. Who was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars 2012 on Tuesday night was all about what the voters had to say.

We had our own prediction for which couple would be headed out the door on Dancing With the Stars 2012 on Tuesday night, but figuring out how the voters will score the celebrity dancers is always tough. Who maybe should go home, based on their performance and the judges’ scores, isn’t necessarily the person who will get the boot from the voters. Sometimes the voters decide to give a celebrity another chance based on their past performances. On the other hand, sometimes the voters totally twist things up and decide to eliminate someone they just aren’t connecting with in order to save their favorites — even if they might be cursed with two left feet.

The scores from DWTS 2012 on Monday night:

Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd – 27 (98 total this season)

Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower – 26 (100 total this season)

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough – 26 (99 total this season)

Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas – 24 (105 total this season)

Gavin McGraw and Karina Smirnoff – 23 (88 total this season)

William Levy and Cheryl Burke – 22 (99 total this season)

Jaleel White and Kym Johnson – 22 (total this season)

Melissa Gilbert and Maks Chmerkovskiy – 22 (total this season)

Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy – 21 (total this season)

Gladys Knight and Tristan McManus – 20 (total this season)

After last night’s performance on DWTS 2012, Donald Driver suddenly emerged as a brand new favorite after a sexy, shirtless dance to Jimi Hendrix‘s “Purple Haze” with pro partner Peta Murgatroyd. The audience was thoroughly pleased tonight when the judges asked the athlete to do a repeat performance of his sultry, aggressive Paso Doble. Driver knocked favorites Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas right off the top of the leaderboard when he scored a total of 27 points to their measly 24 points last night.

The audience was also entertained tonight by another performance by rock legends KISS singing “Lick It Up” to get the show off to a banging start. Now we know how brilliant they were to wear all that makeup when they started out, because now… you can’t really tell how ancient they all are.

The audience was also granted a brief moment of drama as the show recapped what happened to send actress Melissa Gilbert to the hospital last night after she was injured during her dance with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Gilbert apparently struck her head on the floor during the performance and was taken to the hospital after receiving her scores when she began to feel unwell. She was diagnosed with a mild concussion and whiplash, but was released the same night and spent the evening of the elimination results show resting at home.

On the bottom of the leaderboard last night on Dancing With the Stars 2012, Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus scored only 20 points out of 30. However, I predicted she would still manage to make it through to the next round anyway.

The real couples in danger after last night on DWTS 2012 turned out to be Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower, and, surprisingly to me at least, Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy. I admit right here, I was totally wrong in every way about who would end up in the bottom two this week.

I was actually quite surprised that the voters didn’t slap Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff in the bottom once again and force them to do the ‘dance off’ for the Dancing With the Stars 2012 judges. If that had happened, I was rather sure they would be eliminated.

After a dance off for the judges between Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower, the couple who got voted off Dancing With the Stars 2012 this week is…

ELIMINATED:

Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy

Call me very surprised over this elimination as I had thought Sherri Shepherd had a much stronger fan base than she apparently did. I did not expect her to end up in the bottom two even though her scores were the second lowest on Monday night. Once she was put up for a dance off against adorably cute Roshon Fegan, however, her number was obviously up.

Oh well, I’ll miss you Sherri, you were a lot of fun to watch!
