Dancing With the Stars 2014 Cast: Who Will Win DWTS 18?

When we heard the announcement for the new Dancing With the Stars 2014 cast, we immediately started speculating on who would end up winning season 18. After all, half the fun of watching the Dancing With the Stars 18 cast is trying to figure out who is going to go home when, and who will end up with the Mirror Ball Trophy in the end!

Dancing With the Stars 2014 cast season 18

There are some obvious athletes among the DWTS 2014 cast members this season, and often these types of contestants do very well. This year we have three Olympic competitors with ice dancer Charlie White, his ice dancing partner Meryl Davis, and double amputee snowboarder Amy Purdy. We also have long distance swimmer Diana Nyad, and hocky player Sean Avery.

Athleticism doesn’t always translate to grace on the dance floor, but we have to think that at least Charlie White and Meryl Davis are both likely to be strong competitors. Ice dancing is an extremely graceful sport, and we could see them both doing very well in the competition.

In fact, Vegas odds from Bovada Sports Book are currently prediction Meryl as a very, very early favorite to win with 2 to 2 odds. Charlie is right behind her with 3 to 1 odds. For now, until we have more to go on, we’re going to agree that Meryl Davis seems the most likely to win from our initial impressions of the DWTS 18 cast.

Singer Cody Simpson and Big Time Rush’s James Maslow are running not too far behind and we wouldn’t be surprised if they make it very far in the competition as well. Both are attractive, will probably move decently well on the dance floor, and have strong pro partners.

We are not really feeling any of the rest of the Dancing With the Stars cast for season 18 as potential winners at this point. We’ll have to see everyone dance at least once before we can really pick out any dark horse contenders.
