The Dancing With the Stars All Stars finale airs tonight on ABC and perhaps the best season of the show so far will be coming to an end. Which of the three remaining ladies will be crowned as the Dancing With the Stars All Stars winner? While heavy odds seem to be on Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough, not all the Dancing With the Stars predictions for tonight are picking them as the winners. Who won Dancing With the Stars All Stars 2012 is not as easy to predict as it might seem. Want to know who we think will take home the DWTS All Stars 2012 mirror ball trophy tonight?
A large number of Dancing With the Stars All Stars predictions on the fan sites the past few days are laying strong bets that Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough will come out on top as the DWTS All Stars winners. Her scores have been great most of the season and the judges have adored her routines even when she has deliberately broken the rules to better feature her gymnastics background. The fan support for Shawn Johnson has been extremely strong and she has been a consistent favorite all season long. However, she does have one big point against her–she’s already won a Dancing With the Stars crown.
Reality TV show fans sometimes have a bias against former winners coming back to win for the second time on a show, even when it is a specifically all stars themed season. There could be a significant voting block that likes Shawn Johnson and may even feel she deserves to win, but decides to vote for Melissa Rycroft just because she is the only one of the three women who has not previous won Dancing With the Stars.
Kelly Monaco cannot be discounted either as a previous Dancing With the Stars winner. She obviously has strong fan support as well or she would not have won her previous season or been in the DWTS All Stars finale this time around. Kelly Monaco and Tony Dovolani have won a championship before and there is every possibility they could win it all again. They have had a very strong season together and the fans seem to love them as a pairing.
All this aside, however, my personal Dancing With the Stars prediction for this season’s winner is going to lean toward the majority out there on the Net right now. Despite her willingness to flaunt the rules and defy the judges, there is one dancer who just seems to have been a cut above the other two all season long. So with that in mind, here is how how I am ranking the final top 3 contestants going into tonight’s Dancing With the Stars elimination results show:
1. Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough – If these two don’t take DWTS All Stars mirror ball trophy, I will be hugely surprised. After a fabulous season, these two fan favorites are in a league of their own. Plus, Shawn Johnson’s sweetheart American girl status gives her the fan vote by a mile.
2. Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy – Kelly has been great and the pairing with Val this season was stellar. However, I just don’t think she will be able to beat out Shawn Johnson.
3. Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani – Melissa has adoring fans, but her base just isn’t anywhere close to Shawn Johnson’s. Plus, her scores this season have been up and down. Overall she’s just not as strong a dancer as the other two remaining ladies. I fear it is a third place spot for Melissa Rycroft again this season.
