Will & Grace star Debra Messing and husband Daniel Zelman have split after 10 years of marriage, but the former couple is reportedly still living together. The couple called it quits on their marriage earlier this year, according to Messing’s rep, but still live under the same roof for the benefit of their 7-year-old son Roman.

The Starter Wife actress, 43, and husband Daniel Zelman, 44, “privately separated earlier this year,” Messing’s rep said in a press statement. “The decision was mutual, and they remain supportive of one another and committed to raising their son as a family.”

Despite the split, Debra Messing and her husband are reportedly still sharing digs in the big city. “They have been separated the better part of the year but continue to live together in New York for Roman,” a source told Us Weekly. “It’s very amicable.”

Messing, who appears in the new NBC series Smash, first met Zelman in New York when they were students at NYU. “We were just classmates,” Messing told Redbook about four years ago. “And then we did Romeo and Juliet together. That was my attempt to get him alone. And it worked.” Messing and Zelman married in September of 2000.
