Disgraced Ex-Governor Rod Blagojevich Blacker than Barack Obama

Disgraced former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is pissing people off yet again by declaring he is “blacker than Barack Obama” in an interview with Esquire magazine. Blagojevich was thrown out of the governor’s office last year after allegedly trying to auction off Obama’s senate seat to the highest bidder.

“I’m blacker than Barack Obama,” Rod Blagojevich says in a new interview with Esquire magazine due out this week. “I shine shoes. I grew up in a five-room apartment. My father had a little laundromat in the black community not far from where we lived. I saw it all growing up.”

Naturally, Blagojevich’s “blacker than Barack Obama” comment has plenty of people riled up – again – over the former governor’s apparent inability to recognize how much of a dumbass he is.

Blagojevich later apologized for the comment during a radio interview on WLS Radio. “It’s a stupid metaphor, and if I offended anyone, I apologize very much. I said it out of frustration,” Blagojevich said.

When is this guy just going to learn to put his head down and shut the hell up? I mean, how much deeper a hole can he dig himself into?

  1. He’s tainting the jury pool in Chicago. He’s sending messages to Obama and Rahm that he’s alive and kicking and going to talk. The ex-Gov is far from a dope.

  2. I do understand Robs comments, he has been more in touch with Chicago’s black community than Obama. You don’t see the president running back to Chicago to vacation with his family now that he is president. Besides the color of Obama’s skin, how black is he? He was raised solely by his white mother and Grand mother. His farther like most black males decided to not be involved with his son. So for his elegant speech and mannerisms is all white. why don’t we ever mention that he is white as well? Every one who is offended by my comments, sorry, but they are true! His white mother had everything to do with who he is and who he became!

  3. I think in this case, Rod has been misunderstood. The word I believe he actually used was ‘stupider’, as in “I’m stupider than Barack Obama”… Which of course is completely true.

  4. well the problem is not that he think’s he’s more in touch with poverty and urban living than barack, which might be true. it’s him associating those negative stereotypes with being “black” which is a basically racist remark.

“blacker” meaning poor and urban is just not something you wanna throw out there…

  5. Yes, the supporters of Barack “insane” Obama want to act like all races have a high percentage of their males in prison, drop out of school, wear their pants down to show their underwear, refuse to talk proper English, make babies at will without taking responsibility for them, and generally are a burden on society. The genuinely brilliant black conservatives, such as Thomas Sowell, understand that people supporting the “welfare society” where people think the government and the working people owe them housing, healthcare, food, and everything else are making failures and criminals out of millions of young black people in America. The governor made a statement incorrectly, but he was trying to say he was more familiar with intercity blacks than Obama. He is right. Obama physically seldom takes his nose out of the air. And as many have noticed, is just as white as he is black. He knew he couldn’t make it as a white guy against the competition, so he chase to say he is black. Have you noticed that Tiger Woods never said that? The people calling Rod stupid have never achieved half of what he has achieved, so I wonder where that places them in the measurement of intelligence?

  6. @Montani – so nice to hear someone who can recognize those who “refuse to talk proper English,” – your high level of intelligence just shines through. As they say in Toastmasters “The mark of an intelligent man (or woman) is the ability to talk good…”

  7. blacker than obama. oh, is he black? raised by white mother in white neighborhood doesnt make you black. having a black father doesnt require you to be include in that race. how we are raised and what beliefs we are taught makes us who we are, not our race. i have black friends i trust alot more than some of my white trash neighbors
