The alleged stalker, who also goes by the name Mark Ben nett, reportedly attempted to sell the nude peephole videos to celebrity tabloid website TMZ.com. The FBI said in a press statement Barrett was tracked down through an email he sent to TMZ.com offering the videos for sale. TMZ.com did not purchase the videos. The videos were eventually leaked to the Net and still photos from the videos were printed by the New York Post and other publications.

The nude videos were allegedly taped with a cell phone camera through the door peepholes at two separate hotel rooms where Erin Andrews stayed. The door peepholes at both hotels had reportedly been modified by Barrett so he could film through them.

Erin Andrews reportedly suffered from extreme anxiety after the nude peephole videos were leaked onto the Internet. “As a result of the incident, [Andrews] did not sleep well and had constant anxiety,” she stated in the criminal complaint against Barrett. “In addition, [Andrews] was having trouble breathing and felt sick all of the time. She was concerned there might be more video and wanted to vomit just thinking about it.”
