Dreamgirl Jennifer Hudson’s boyfriend of less than a year, reality TV personality David “Punk” Otunga, popped the question Friday night in LA. Jennifer, who won an Oscar for her role in the movie/musical “Dreamgirls”, was in the hit film “Sex And The City”, and will be seen in the upcoming “The Secret Life Of Bees”, got an extra-special 27th birthday present!

David is known as “Punk” on the reality show “I Love New York 2″. He and Jennifer have been dating for less than a year, but Jennifer’s rep confirmed to People that “Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in Los Angeles”.

David gave Jennifer an engagement ring from Neil Lane. Nice! Congrats to the happy couple.
