Jennifer Hudson and fiancé David Otunga welcomed a new baby boy to the family on Monday. David Daniel Otunga Jr. was named after his father and weighed in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces.
Former American Idol contestant and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson and her fiancé are “ecstatic” over the birth of their first child. “The baby is beautiful and perfect,” Hudson’s publicist said in a statement to the press.
Jennifer Hudson never discussed her pregnancy in the public eye, even after it became obvious she was expecting. Harvard Law graduate David Otunga proposed to Hudson on her 27th birthday, less than six months after they began dating. Ortunga is currently a wrestler for Florida Championship Wrestling.
In October of 2008, Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, brother Jason and nephew Julian King were shot and killed in Chicago. William Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson’s sister Julia, is the primary suspect in the murders. He is currently being held in jail awaiting trial.
wow im really ahppy for her after all shes been threw she has a baby boy congraats
Jennifer, there are so many Americans that wish you the best and I am one of them. Your melodious voice soothes my savage beast. I have always wanted to be some type of entertainer but never perfected my talent as you have done so well with your gift of talent. God’s blessings to you and your new baby and don’t forget to breast feed!
Congrats Jennifer and David!
I’m very happy for her, she’s a beautiful woman with an amazing voice. The only thing left to do now is get married. CONGRATS JENNIFER and DAVID.
Best wishes to both of you and may God Bless the three of you. I watched David on New York he seems like a very kind man Im glad he didnt end up with NY.
CONGRATS!!!! I am happy for her, sincerely.
I do have a question though: Why do we get alll caught up in someone having a baby when there are literally THousands of children waiting for love and a home in foster care?
Is it that we, in this so called civilized society, just care about “Biologicial” chldren? And Damn the ones someone else throws away???? My hat goes off to Mai Farrow, Angelina (and I don’t even like her) and others who have chosen to love a child already here… It’s easy to spit out biological chilren in an over populated world..
But, congrats in spite of it all…
