Jeopardy host Alex Trebek is recovering well after suffering a mild heart attack on Saturday. The 71-year-old game show host is reportedly moving around and doing well enough to be moved out of intensive care. Thankfully, the Alex Trebek heart attack was mild and he is expected to be recovered enough to be released from the hospital soon.
“Alex is up and about and in good spirits while doctors complete their testing at Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute,” Sony Television representative Paula Askanas said in a press statement about the scary Alex Trebek heart attack episode.
The jeopardy host is reportedly doing well enough that he has already been moved out of the ICU into a regular room and “looks forward to returning home as soon as his doctors give their approval,” Arkanas adds.
Alex Trebek, who has hosted Jeopardy for 29 seasons, is expected to have a fully recovery and be back on set to begin taping the new season of the show in July. Jeopardy won a Daytime Emmy award for best game show at the Daytime Emmy Awards over the weekend.
