Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin is blaming estranged wife Kate Gosselin for abandoning the family’s two German Shepherd puppies. Jon Gosselin said the two dogs, Shoka and Nala, are being returned to their breeders because Kate Gosselin doesn’t like them and won’t take care of them.
Now that the couple has separated, Jon says Kate doesn’t treat the puppies well and doesn’t want them inside the family home. “It’s not fair to the dogs to not be wanted in their own home,” he told E! News. Apparently Jon doesn’t want them in his home in New York either, since he’s obviously too busy shacking up with various women and partying all night to do something like feed or walk the dogs he insisted they buy for their eight children.
The Humane Society of Berks County, PA has received nearly a dozen calls about the Gosselin family dogs. Neighbors have complained the children “beat” on the dogs and treat them too roughly. Jon Gosselin has denied any abuse of the two puppies, saying in a press statement: “We understand the responsibilities of being good dog owners… Shoka and Nala are loyal companions who we consider members of our family. We would never do anything to hurt them, and treat them with the respect and love that they deserve.”
Apparently Jon and Kate have decided the best way to demonstrate their love and respect for the canine “members of our family” is to rip them out of their home, take them from the arms of their family and abandon them to their fates. If this is the way Jon and Kate “love” their pets, we feel pretty damn bad for their children. Life with your spouse getting difficult? Dump them. Tired of taking care of your dogs? Ditch them. Wonder if they kids are contemplating what life would be like in a foster home yet.
Luckily, the dogs’ breeder at least has a heart. According to RadarOnline.com, he says that if the Gosselins never come back for the dogs, they “would stay in my family and I wouldn’t give them to anyone else.”
At least someone out there knows the real meaning of “family.”

Jon really is a jerk. He put on a show of whining to the press and packing up the dogs in his truck just to try to make Kate look bad.He dragged the kids outside and yelled “say goodbye to your pups, kids!”
Meanwhile the dogs’ breeder has stated that he will keep the dogs forever on his farm, or until the Gosselins feel able to take them back. He says they’re with him to be trained and they are the perfect age for that. He also stated that they were healthy and well cared for.
Jon is grasping at straws, trying to make himself look like the hero in this. As usual he comes off looking like the horrible liar that he is.
The calls to the humane society were placed by the wackos who hang out on the Kate-hate blog, GWOP. They’re bragging about it there, lol!
Funny how some people think they know everything about a family when the only places they get their info are the tabloids and a heavily edited half hour a week long TV show.
Jon, you are such a LIAR. There are countless pictures on the web of Kate brushing the dogs, buying them food and giving them love, care and attention I rarely see Jon do. When Jon is filmed coming out of grocery stores, there is no dog food in basket. When Kate comes out, there is always dog food and treats (organic)in the basket. There are numberous pictures of Kate brushing the dogs on various days when she is outside playing with kids. I have never seen Jon do that. He is too busy on his ATV riding up to fence to give interviews with fans and paparazzi. I have seen Jon occasionally pet the dogs in brief (passing by them), but there are pictures of Kate petting dogs while sitting for what appears to be some duration of time. Jon, here you go again, caught in another lie just trying to make Kate look bad. Why some people keep falling for his lies is a mystery to me, but he will continue to do it so long as some out there keepin buying into his lies. We know one who does, Hailary!
Of course he blames Kate. Have you ever seen him take responsibility for anything. He is pathetic and the world’s biggest LIAR. That ought to be the name of his new show. BTW, why don’t you go to radar online and some of the other sites that have pictures of Kate petting dogs, brushing dogs and leaving store with dog food and post these pics with your story. I challenge you to find one picture of Jon brushing dogs or leaving grocery store with dog food or even feeding the food KAte bought for them to the dogs. Come on, I dare you!
On the episode where Kate & Jon bring the dogs home first time, didn’t she say she would TAKE THEM BACK if she didn’t like having them? Yes she did. That episode re-aired earlier this week.
No animal should be taken in or purchased if the mom of the house does not want it, because she ultimately will be taking full care of it. The job is a great one if you love annimals.

The dogs should never have been “bought”. 8 kids is plenty to worry about beside 2 puppies. Once the dogs were brought home though, that’s it. The dogs are family and your responsibilty. Would they get rid of 1 or 2 of their kids, I think not. Thank goodness the breeders seem kind and took them back.

I think any mother who has more than one child would agree that taking care of kids is a huge job. Now imagine 8 small children, add into that two puppies who also need a lot of love, care, and attention. Now add in a father/husband who is too busy running around becuase “I am only 32”. Of course, Kate wanted to take the dogs back, when would she find the spare time to take care of the dogs? I think too many people are trying to jump on the Jon and Kate love/hate bandwagon. Use your head. Think about the huge responsibility it is to have children….8 children. I am exhausted just watching her. Maybe she goes a little overboard, but you take care of 8 kids for a day then see how you really feel.
