Lindsay Lohan suing E-Trade Over Milkaholic Super Bowl Commercial

Lindsay Lohan is suing financial company E-Trade over a Super Bowl commercial featuring a “milkaholic” baby sharing her first name. Lohan claims E-Trade used her “name and characterization” in creating the character of one of the babies in the commercial.

The TV commercial, which first aired during the Super Bowl, features a baby apologizing to his girlfriend for not calling her. The upset girlfriend asks him if “that milkaholic Lindsay wasn’t over?” Another baby girl pops in front of the camera, saying, “Milk-a-whaaat?”

“Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit,” Lohan’s lawyer Stephanie Ovadia told the New York Post. “They used the name Lindsay. They’re using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn’t they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody’s talking about it and saying it’s Lindsay Lohan.”

Lohan is suing E-Trade for $100 million over the ad and her lawyer wants an injunction against E-Trade to have the commercial taken off the air.

Grey Group, which produced the “milkaholic” commercial, said there was no truth to the claim they named the baby character in the commercial after Lindsay Lohan. A spokesperson for the company said in a press statement that they “just used a popular baby name that happened to be the name of someone on the account team.”

We can’t help but find it rather hysterical that Lindsay Lohan is basically saying to the world at large that she holds the trademark on being a vapid, clueless, intoxicated bed-hopper.

  1. Lindsay who? That’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard since the last time a pseudo-celeb made a money/attention grab attempt.

  2. I doubt anyone would’ve associated her with this ad if she hadn’t made a fuss about it. Sheesh! And she won’t win that law suit either.
