Could it be true? Has Miley Cyrus really deleted her Twitter account? Indeed, the rumor does appear to be true. Miley Cyrus has broken up with Twitter. And apparently, it’s all about pleasing her new love, rumored boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

Miley Cyrus posted on her Twitter feed last night that Hemsworth did not have a Twitter account – and he didn’t think she ought to have one either. In her last post on Twitter, Cyrus wrote: ”FYI Liam doesn’t have a twttr & he wants ME 2 delete mine w/ gd reason.” Shortly afterward, @MileyCyrus vanished from Twitter. So did, apparently, her mother, who was listed as @MommyTish.

Looks like Miley Cyrus’ former 2 million or so followers will no longer have the pleasure of listening to her whine about being treated badly by the media or sharing TMI about her personal life in a far too public forum.

Blaming it on your boyfriend is kind of a sad excuse, but it’s probably best for Cyrus to give up the Twitter crack anyway. Now, if she could just give up her cell phone to put a stop to all those naughty half-naked leaked pics on the Internet…
