Oregon State running back LeGarrette Blount shocked football fans Thursday night by punching a member of the opposing Boise State team. The LeGarrette Blount punch video shows him blindsiding Boise player Bryan Hout after Oregan loses the game in an upset loss.

Of course, it does appear that linebacker Bryan Hout may have provoked LeGarette Blount just a bit. After the devestating loss of Oregon State to Boise, Blount walks off the field looking terribly dejected. For some reason, Hout grabs Blount and shouts something at him. A coach briefly intervenes and then Blount punches Hout in the face – all captured on video.

This isn’t LeGarette Blount’s first bout of trouble this year. The Oregon State football running back was suspended by the Ducks earlier in the year for “failing to fulfill team obligations” when he failed to show up at required team meetings.

LeGarette taking a punch at an opposing player is bad enough, but if you watch the video you’ll see he goes on to take a swing at a teammate and then turns his anger on the fans as well.

Blount issued a statement apologizing for his actions Thursday morning, saying he “lost my head. … A few guys wished me a good game, a few guys pushed me and I just kind of lost my temper.” No word yet on what disciplinary action may be taken against Blount over the attack against Bryan Hout.
