We were a bit sad about who was voted off The Voice 2013 last week because we were rather fond of quirky Caroline Pennell. However, we agreed that neither Caroline or Ray Boudreaux were at the same level as some of the other singers still left in the competition. We were far more worried about The Voice results this week with only six contestants left. One of our favorites could have easily fallen out of favor and been the one who went home on The Voice season 5 tonight!
Although we agree that her performance of “Cry Baby” by Janis Joplin last night was absolutely fabulous, 16-year-old Jacquie Lee isn’t one of our top favorites left on The Voice 2013. Despite that, we were glad she really had nothing to worry about tonight after she killed her performances on Monday night. We were pretty sure that Cole Vosbury, who is probably our third favorite singer, wouldn’t be in any danger either from what we saw out there on social media and fan polls. Our main concern was whether our top two favorites, Tessanne Chin or Will Champlin, might somehow fall into the bottom two in The Voice results tonight.
We are still a bit perturbed by who went home on The Voice 2013 last week, and we’re really hoping we don’t lose any more of our favorites tonight. We know Caroline Pennell didn’t stand any chance of winning, but we liked her quirky style and hated seeing her go home in particular. This week, we’re just hoping we aren’t feeling sad again when The Voice results are announced and we find out who got voted off The Voice season 5 tonight!
After her stellar performance of “Cry Baby” by Janis Joplin last night, we feel pretty confident that pretty 16-year-old Jacquie Lee will be safe tonight with no problem. Will Champlin, one of our personal favorites, also gave a great showing last night with “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cook. We’re hoping that also put him in the safe zone for this week. Tessanne Chin, who is our current favorite to win, astounded us by managing to actually pull off Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song,” so we’re feeling she’s a shoo in for next week as well.
We were shocked by the news Fast and Furious star Paul Walker died this weekend, but we were not terribly surprised at the tragic way it happened. Paul had an admitted love of cars his whole life and enjoyed racing hard in his spare time, even competing in the Pirelli World Challenge Series. We are just sad that Paul and his friend, fellow fast car lover Roger Rodas, did not keep their love of speed on the track where it belong, and not — allegedly — on the streets.
Paul Walker and Roger Rodas died together this past weekend when the car the Fast and Furious star was riding in struck a tree and exploded into flames. Although no official report on the accident has been issued yet, the Porsche Carrera GT driven by Roger Rodas was allegedly speeding at the time and tire burn marks were reportedly found nearby. According to police reports and photos from the scene, the car was completely demolished and the bodies burned beyond recognition.
We were down to the final four teams last night after Ally & Ashley were the ones who went home on The Amazing Race 2013 last week. With a million dollars on the line, Jason & Amy, Nicole & Travis, Leo & Jamal, and Tim & Marie continued the race through Indonesia in this week’s episode. At the end of the leg, who was eliminated on The Amazing Race 23 and won’t be returning for the finale next week? Read on to find out!
Last week in The Amazing Race results, Ally & Ashley were sent home after coming in last place at the Pit Stop. We didn’t really mind them being eliminated, but we do think it was maybe a tad bit unfair. If Amy had not stopped to help Nicole get through the Road Block, it would have probably been Nicole & Travis who got eliminated on The Amazing Race 2013 in the previous leg. Frankly, we think they deserved to get the boot after Nicole tried to cheat off Leo & Jamal at the Road Block!
After last night’s performances, it was obvious which singer would NOT be the one who got voted off The Voice 2013 from the Top 8! After an absolutely stunning performance of “At Last” by Etta James, Will Champlin guaranteed himself a spot in the Top 6 when his song won the iTunes vote multiplier by coming in number eight on the Top 200 singles chart. Figuring out which singers would be the ones who went home on The Voice results show this week was not quite so easy.
On Tuesday night, fans finally found out who won Dancing With the Stars 2013 season 17. Was it Glee star Amber Riley, who has been fiercely real all season long? High School Musical star Corbin Bleu, the man with the moves that make the ladies swoon? Or reality TV star Jack Osbourne, who moved us with his inspirational fight against MS and his vast improvement on the dance floor every week? We hope everyone got in their votes for their favorite team because it’s time to see who came out on top in the final Dancing With the Stars results tonight!
We made our prediction last night about who would be the Dancing With the Stars winner this season. However, we have to say that our prediction was based on which DWTS 2013 cast member we wished would win because we’re just big fans, rather than who we thought was technically the better dancer.
Waiting anxiously to find out who got voted off Dancing With the Stars 2013 tonight and which couples made it to the final three? Well, wait no longer! We have the Dancing With the Stars spoilers for you on what happened in part one of the finale and who will be back on Tuesday night to compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy. Keep on reading for the Dancing With the Stars results from part one of the DWTS 17 finale!
Going into the first part of the finale on Monday night, we were sure that this absolutely had to be the week that Bill Engvall and Emma Slater would finally get booted. We just could not imagine how the voters could let one of the worst dancers we’ve seen on the show in years get all the way to the grand finale on Wednesday night. Even worse, we were fearful that somehow Bill might actually win the whole thing just on the back of his massive fan base alone!
