In general it seems like celebrity weddings are more about the amount of money being spent than the commitment being made. Maybe that’s part of why so many celebrity couples don’t stay together for the long run. Remember Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries? The rumored cost for that one was $10 million. Can you imagine what that kind of money could have done for say, the victims of Hurricane Sandy?
When Dax Shepard revealed on Jimmy Kimmel that his wedding to Kristen Bell cost the couple just $142 dollars, we said bravo! Dax and Kristen got married at the Beverly Hills Courthouse on October 17 for under $200 bucks — and that included the gas. Granted, Dax told Jimmy Kimmel he hasn’t yet bought a ring but we’re betting he isn’t going to lay out $2 million for some insane rock or anything nutball like that.
We just could not help tearing up when we watched this emotional baby video that seems to have gone viral overnight. We first saw it on Facebook being passed around by a friend and now it’s everywhere — with good reason. We have never seen such expressive, amazing emotional empathy for a piece of music from anyone, much less a tiny 10-month-old baby!
At first, little baby Mary-Lynn Leroux smiles when momma Amanda begins singing “My Heart Can’t Tell You No” by Rod Stewart, recently covered by country singer Sara Evans. Quickly though, the baby girl is caught up in the song and tears well up in her eyes. But this sweet baby girl isn’t sad or crying because she doesn’t like the music. She smiles every time mom takes a long breath but then tears up again and makes the most incredibly emotive faces when mom is singing.
The official announcement confirming a Jonas Brothers split has left fans devastated and us questioning WTH happened. Why did the Jonas Brothers break up? What could possibly lead three brothers with an internationally successful band earning millions of dollars to call it quits? Was it just too much ego going on? The rumors of drug and alcohol use? Or did someone just think they were better off flying solo? Ugh, rich people problems.
Rumors of a Jonas Brothers split have been going on for a while now. Well, virtually since they sort of broke up previously a few years ago and mostly focused on their solo projects. When Paul Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas said they were canceling their comeback tour, fans went wild. Things were not looking good at all.
We really didn’t want to know who went home on Dancing With the Stars tonight in week 6 because we love ALL the remaining celebrity contestants. Disagree all you like but we honestly love the couples this season and we were glad the Dancing With the Stars results were delayed for a week! Of course, we have our favorites we want to win (hint: Glee!) but all of the dancers still in the running on DWTS 17 are great fun to watch.
While we would love to just watch all the couples in action for yet another week, alas, it was time for someone to go home. Everyone was very lucky last week when a technical glitch with the voting postponed the inevitable. Tonight, however, the reprieve was over and it was time for one of our fabulous dancing duos to get the boot.
If we believed in magic, we would swear the Ohio State Marching Band video performance was done by wizards. Honestly, it’s hard to even fathom HOW the OSU band managed the absolutely insane performance they give in this video. What kind of crazy logistics do you have to plan to pull off a moving pictorial of Superman saving a falling building or Harry Potter catching a Golden Snitch?
Seriously, whoever put together this astounding Ohio State Marching Band movie tribute performance could give some major lessons to the Superbowl halftime entertainment coordinators. Heck, just hire these guys to give us a real show at the next Superbowl! We aren’t kidding. We’ve just never even seen anything like this before. Check it out below and let the jaw-dropping commence.
We are in love with Jennifer Lawrence and all the crazy, awesome things she says and does. Thus, we love anything and everything to do with The Hunger Games. So, we could not resist bringing you the just released final The Hunger Games Catching Fire movie trailer. We love all the action in the latest preview but we really wish November 22 would get here already!
The new Hunger Games Catching Fire trailer opens with Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) aiming her bow at the sky from atop a tree while President Snow (Donald Sutherland) sayins in a voice-over, “Miss Everdeen, you fought very hard in the arena. But they were games. Would you like to be in a real war?”
Who went home on The Amazing Race 2013 tonight? Well, it’s always difficult to predict what will happen on this show because things can change at the drop of a hat! When we left off on the previous show, Adam and Brandon were in the lead. But all the teams were faced with the possible drama of a double U-turn this week, so anything could have happened.
Going into this evening’s episode, we were dying to know whether or not Tim and Marie would actually give up the Express Pass to Nicole and Travis. Marie and Tim were in deep trouble after accidentally missing half their clue to the next part of the race. Nicole and Travis could save them from ending up last (and possibly eliminated) but only if they were willing to give up the pass.
