American Idol 2012: Colton Dixon ‘Bad Romance’ (Video)
On American Idol 2012 this week, all of the top 7 contestants were back again to sing for their lives after the judges used their save last week to keep Jessica Sanchez from going home.

Despite still having to go up against six other contestants on American Idol 2012, it is unlikely to that will be a problem for Colton Dixon, who is currently rated a strong favorite by the fans online for making the final two.
American Idol 2012: Hollie Cavanagh ‘Rolling in the Deep’ (VIDEO)
Tonight on American Idol 2012, the top 7 contestants performed once again after no one was eliminated last week due to the use of the judges’ save on Jessica Sanchez. The first performance of the evening went to Hollie Cavanagh, who was hoping to give such a great performance that she would not end up in the bottom two once again this week and be in danger of going home.

Hollie Cavanagh undoutably has a strong voice and her rendition of Adele‘s “Rolling in the Deep” is good, but it isn’t one of those performances anyone is going to really remember weeks from now. Plus, this song has been so overdone by so many people that it is hard to hear anything unique or interesting in Hollie’s version.
American Idol 2012 Pays Tribute to Dick Clark
American Idol 2012 is in a last minute scramble to put together a ‘fitting tribute’ to late American Bandstand host Dick Clark for the live show on Wednesday night. Dick Clark died Wednesday morning of a heart attack at the age of 82.

American Idol 2012 host Ryan Seacrest was especially upset by the death of legendary TV host Dick Clark as he has cohosted Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve since 2005/2006. Dick Clark suffered a dehabilitating stroke in 2004 and could no longer host the show on his own. Ryan Seacrest was officially named his successor a couple of years ago.
Dick Clark Dead at 82 from Heart Attack
Dick Clark is dead at the age of 82, his spokesman confirmed Wednesday afternoon. The legendary American Bandstand host and face of the New Year’s Eve countdown in Time Square died on Wednesday morning at Saint John’s hospital in Santa Monica.

Dick Clark died of a heart attack, spokesman Paul Shefrin said in a press statement. Clark had been at the Saint John’s hospital in Santa Monica the previous day for an outpatient procedure, but it is unknown if that is related to the heart attack he suffered this morning.
Dick Clark died a legend who is known for being a driving force behind bringing rock n’ roll to the masses with American Bandstand. Always looking much younger than his actual age, Dick Clark was the iconic face of New Year’s Eve for decades. Even after suffering a stroke in 2004, Dick Clark continued to perform as much as he could manage.
