Paul Newman Passes Away From Cancer

Paul Newman, beloved Oscar-winning actor and philanthropist, died last night after a battle with cancer. He was 83. Newman and his wife Joanne set the standard for Hollywood marriages, with 50 years together. Newman married Woodward in 1958 and the couple have three daughters. He also has two daughters from his first marriage to Jackie Witte.

It was reported last month that he had been readying their oldest child, Nell, to take over his Newman’s Own salad dressings company, the profits of which are given to a charitable foundation.

Paul didn’t want to die in the hospital,” a source said. “Joanne and his daughters are beside themselves with grief.” He died at home. Rest in peace, Paul.
