PETA Blasts New Michael Vick Documentary Series
Animal rights group PETA is pissed off after hearing the news convicted dog abuser Michael Vick will be starring in a new documentary series about his life on BET. Just two weeks after his first NFL game after being released from prison, Vick has landed a deal to star in an eight-part series on BET he hopes will improve his image with the public.

“I just want people to really get to know me as an individual,” Vick told the L.A. Times. “What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I’ve made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it’s not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up.”
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) disagrees. The organization thinks Michael Vick should be shunned after his conviction and prison sentence for running a dog-fighting ring.
“People who abuse animals don’t deserve to be rewarded,” a PETA spokesman said. “They shouldn’t be given multimillion-dollar contracts or given the privilege of being a role model.”

I agree with PRTA this is like rewarding the man for torturing and killing dogs. Extremely bad taste! Why doesn’t he donate the proceeds to animal shelters if he is truly sorry for the disgusting things he did!

Man who killed those animals without voice and enable to fight and protect themselves. We have to do it!!. Don’t reward these kind of people they need treatment and jail!!! Only sick people can do such horible act.

Hitler made a few mistakes also, and like Michael Vick, I don’t think he was sorry. Spouting cliche rhetoric that his PR people feed him does not make him a better person. He is, and I feel always will be, an atrocious person with a very dark side. He should have never been able to play football again yet alone whine to the public about his “conveniently brief” sentence in the penal system. He’s a twisted individual I don’t want to know.

let’s be honest here. This is about money. Everyone who is against this series(including PETA) just doesn’t want Michael Vick to make any money! You guys hated the fact that he was earning millions of dollars in the first place. He has done his time, why should he have to donate every dollar he makes to charity. He has to live. So the average person who goes to jail, shouldn’t be given a second chance? If that was the case I guess the average American who goes to jail shouldn’t be able to get out and make a living to pay his bills. Wow! Too bad every one on here is perfect. I guess every dollar that Robert Downey Jr. makes from films should be given to NA (narcotics anonymous……)
