Ray J Blasts Bobby Brown’s Sister Over Whitney Houston Cocaine Claim

Ray J is blasting back at Bobby Brown‘s sister, Leolah Brown, for claiming he provided Whitney Houston with cocaine and other drugs. In an appearance on the Dr. Drew show, Leolah Brown said she believed Ray J may have been Whitney Houston’s “runner boy” and gave the cocaine that helped to cause her death.

In the interview on the Dr. Drew show, Leolah Brown — sister to Whitney Houston’s ex-husband Bobby Brown — said she saw Ray J leaving the singer’s hotel in a hurry on the day she died. She also claims that rather than being Whitney Houston’s boyfriend, Ray J was actually the singer’s drug supplier and errand boy.

“Though Leolah Brown was nowhere near the Beverly Hilton hotel on the day Whitney Houston died, [HLN’s parent company] CNN proceeded to broadcast an interview with Ms. Brown in which she falsely claimed that Ray J was at the hotel and contributed to Whitney Houston’s death,” Ray J’s publicist, Courtney Barnes, said in a press statement.

“Even the most minimal inquiry with anyone actually in contact with Whitney would reveal that Leolah Brown had been out of contact with Whitney for more than a year and was nowhere near the scene on the day of her death.”

Ray J’s rep has threatened legal action against anyone spreading “defamatory stories” about his client and urged media outlets “not to republish” Leolah Brown’s allegations.
