Rumors Of Lil Wayne’s Daughter’s Death Uncertain

UPDATE-UPDATE: Site Allhiphop.com is reporting an exclusive with Lil Wayne, putting to rest the rumors that have engulfed the net all day.

“It has come to my attention that there are recent reports circulating regarding my daughter. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who are genuinely concerned about Reginae and her safety,” Lil Wayne told AllHipHop.com. “Please allow me to dispel any rumors or speculations and report that my daughter is alive, healthy and surrounded by family who care and love her dearly. The rumors are completely false and unfounded; neither Reginae nor any other member of my family has been involved in any car accident. My family and I truly appreciate the concern and support shown to us.”

UPDATE: Producer Maestro who is close to Lil Wayne is denying the rumors of daughter Reginae’s death, according to HeSaySheSay– who say Maestro gave them an exclusive. There has still been no official announcement from Lil Wayne or his publicists. MTV UK and even the Huffington Post are reporting Reginae’s death, but they are all sourcing back to the same unconfirmed net postings. Hip-Hop site SOHH is reporting that Universal (Lil Wayne’s master label) has denied Reginae’s passing, but again their news is not verifiable. Cash Money Records has not released a statement either. Snarkista has calls in as well to try and get official confirmation of what the truth is. It would be incredibly low if this were a publicity stunt. Cash Money has info ALL OVER about his latest album and video, but nothing addressing this horrible rumor.

There are conflicting stories circulating on the web that Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae died in a car accident late Sunday night. Messages of sadness and support have been massive, along with messages of love for Lil Wayne and his family. Reginae is a tender 8 years old. Some are saying, however, that the story isn’t true.

Yahoo Answers has this message; it’s been posted two times but hasn’t been verified yet. The poster says they are an aunt of Reginae’s.

Thanx to all of u who are genuinely concerned about the recent report of Reginae being killed in a car accident. It means a lot to our family to know that so many of u care (calls have been coming in to our family all day & are continuing to do so). I am pleased to inform u that this report is FALSE!! It is merely a rumor started by someone who obviously is miserable in their own skin that they would even have the notion to attack a child. Rest assured Reginae is tucked away in her bed @ this very moment trying to get past the hurt this ugliness has caused her and our family. It’s ironic however that although the evil, hellbound[EXPLETIVE] that started this hate mail did something like this to Reginae….she still said a special prayer for them 2nite. Another post was also on Yahoo Answers, and says that there was an accident but that Reginae is okay, but that someone else in the accident died.

Another unverified report supposedly from Reginae’s mother Antonia “Toya” Johnson says that Reginae is okay and at school. Toya was briefly married to Lil’ Wayne. She was just 14 years old when Reginae was born. Many reports from early this morning say that Lil’ Wayne’s daughter was killed. Hoax? If so, there’s a special place in HELL for the hoaxer. Mixed information because of a tragedy? An online celeb site seems to be where the story started, but it was repeated many times.

Snarkista says that this whole thing SUCKS and that somebody needs to come out and VERIFY instead of releasing gossipy rumors both ways. Where’s the effin’ label? Where’s Lil Wayne’s publicist? Where in the HELL is the AP? If Snarkista were in Lil Wayne’s shoes she’d be kicking somebody’s ass big time to get the truth out there, and she’d probably fire the publicist for not blanketing the net with the truth. Bitch must be gettin’ her nails done or something.

Snarkista’s gut is this is bullshizz ‘cuz there are few concrete details about the “accident”. But if it were her little girl, you better believe the world would know what was real, and that whoever started this horrible rumor had best watch their back.

  33. i cant believe that someone would say something like that about someone that is loved sooo much. i thnk that lil waynes daught is very very beautiful, and i know that she is loved and respected by all of her family. lil wayne is a great dad, and i know that he would always love and protect his daught. i think that lil wayne handdle these rumors really good, he even thanked people above for their concerns about his daughter. i just wish that people would stop saying such horrible stuff about great people like lil wayne and his daught, it isn’t nice at all.
