Actress Sean Young arrested at the Oscars! Honestly, we were rather dumbfounded at reading this headline and had to go investigate what the heck a B-list celebrity like Sean Young did to get herself thrown in jail on the night of the 2012 Academy Awards. Apparently it all turns out to be just another case of a has-been actor who just can’t get it through their head that perhaps they should just retire from the faltering spotlight and find a new line of work.

According to Los Angeles police, actress Sean Young was allegedly put under citizen’s arrest after a scuffle at the Governor’s Ball on Sunday night after the 2012 Oscars. Details about exactly what went on are still a bit sketchy, but it appears that Sean Young attempted to get into the party without an invitation. You know, because she used to be a kind of cool actress and, for a while, incredibly hot. Now, however, she’s barely recognizable, her face looks like she was injected with alien DNA and nobody really cares what the hell she wants because she hasn’t had a decent acting role in years.

So, when Sean Young was refused entry to the Governor’s Ball, she allegedly threw enough of a fit that had to be put under arrest. According to got into a physical altercation with a security guard and slapped him when she was asked to leave. The LAPD reportedly booked her at around 9:25 p.m. under an investigation for misdemeanor battery, but refused to share any further information about the incident. Young posted bail for $20,000 and was released just before 3 a.m.

Prior to the Sean Young arrest silliness, the “Blade Runner” actress was seen hanging all over various celebrities — including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and Michelle Williams — asking to have her picture taken with them. Some witnesses have snarkily commented that Young looked like a desperate tourist or wannabe paparazzi, snapping photos left and right of every celebrity she could find.

In response to the explosion of press reports on the Sean Young arrested story, the actress posted a message on Facebook saying she deserved an apology from the Academy.

“I just want everyone to know that I was sober (and) extremely well behaved when a very stupid security guard went postal on me,” Young, who was featured on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” in 2011, wrote on her Facebook page Monday morning. “The Academy’s very stupid lawyer recommended a ‘private person’s arrest,’ and I have grounds for a lawsuit against the Academy, although I believe a public apology to me would be much better.”

Young claims it was the security guard who got rough with her and that police “very carefully and kindly photographed the bruises on my arms, which this guard is responsible for doing.”

This isn’t the first time Sean Young has tried to crash a post-Academy Awards party. The actress, who has a reputation for extreme behavior, also attempted to get into the Vanity Fair Oscars party back in 2006 without an invitation.
