Southland actor Kevin Alejandro has signed on to join the cast of HBO’s hit vampire series True Blood for season three. Alejandro will reportedly play Jesus, a new romantic interest for Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis).
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Alejandro will portray an orderly taking care of Lafayette’s mother Ruby Jean Reynolds (Alfre Woodard). He will also reportedly serve as Lafayette’s new love interest on the series.
Alejandro has signed on to appear in “almost every episode” in the third season, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Good news for the actor, since shooting on Southland – which recently moved from NBC to TNT – is currently on hold.
Season 3 of True Blood seems to be heating up in the cupid department, with Sookie (Anna Paquin) hooking up with a werewolf named Alcide (Joe Manganiello), Jason falling for mystery-girl Crystal (Lindsay Pulsipher) and Tara getting her own vampire love bits from Franklin Mott (James Frain). Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) will also get a taste of the forbidden fruit when he reportedly gets involved with a human.
We can’t wait to see what kind of steamy scenes the new season of True Blood will serve up with all this lovin’ going on!
