According to the lawsuit filed in Florida, Santonio Holmes and the woman had a verbal disagreement over seating in the VIP area of the Rain Nightclub. When the woman refused to move out of Holmes’ way, she claims the former Super Bowl MVP launched a glass full of liquor at her face. The woman alleges the glass sliced open her face and nearly cut her eye.

The woman reportedly flagged down officers from the Orlando Police Department, but claims they joined with Santonio to “pressure” her not to press charges against the football player. Santonio also allegedly offered the woman money to keep quiet about the incident because “he was an NFL star and could not get into trouble.

The Steelers are reportedly currently investigating the allegations against Santonio. So far it’s been a rather scandalous year for Steelers players, with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger still undergoing investigation for an alleged sexual assault against a woman in Georgia on March 5. Roethlisberger has not yet been charged in relation to that incident and has denied the accusation.
