30 Rock star Alec Baldwin appears to have shut down his Twitter account following a rant against American Airlines after being kicked off a plane on Tuesday . American claims Alec Baldwin violated airline rules by refusing to stop playing a game of Words With Friends on his cellphone while the plane he was on prepared for takeoff. The airline also claims he was extremely rude to the flight staff and they became “alarmed”.

After allegedly being politely asked to turn off his cellphone for takeoff, American Airlines claims Alec Baldwin stood up and stormed off into the plane’s bathroom, called the flight crew inappropriate names and used offensive language. “He slammed the lavatory door so hard, the cockpit crew heard it and became alarmed, even with the cockpit door closed and locked,” American Airlines said in a press statement. As a result, Alec Baldwin was kicked off the plane.

Baldwin took to his Twitter account after the incident to complain, posting: “Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt” He went on to post that “United Airlines should buy Words With Friends” and later, “#theresalwaysunited Last flight w American. Where retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950′s find jobs as flight attendants.”

Baldwin didn’t stop there. After claiming his Words With Friends username is now #theresalwaysunited, he Tweeted that “United shud hav app onboard where u can play WWF w other passengers. American shud have app where u read the new testament w flt attendants.”

After a few more random comments, Alec Baldwin told his followers that they should “play a game called Mass Unfollowing. I want to crash this acct and start again. But, tonight at 10PM, NY time, unfollow me.” He followed up at 10PM with the hashtag #massunfollow.

Finally, Baldwin posted what sounded like a farewell to this Twitter account at least. “I leave you with this…. The great Bernard Haitink and the Concertgebouw, performing the Mahler 9th, fourth movement,” Baldwin posted with a link to a concert video on YouTube.

First, the @alecbaldwin Twitter feed was renamed ‘deactivated001′ and stopped having new Tweets about 15 hours ago. Now the Alec Baldwin Twitter feed has completely vanished.

Whether or not Baldwin returns to @alecbaldwin or not, we’re betting he won’t be able to keep himself off Twitter for long. This guy can’t go an hour without Tweeting. If there is anything Baldwin might be addicted to more than Words With Friends, it’s Twitter!

On Tuesday, 30 Rock actor Alec Baldwin was kicked off a plane for refusing to stop playing a video game. Baldwin was booted from an American Airlines flight when he apparently refused to stop playing a game of Words With Friends after the cabin door was closed for takeoff. Now the actor’s rep says his ‘addiction’ for the game is partially to blame.

Initially, Baldwin made the whole incident out to be the fault of American Airlines for overreacting to him continuing to play a video game on his cell phone as the plane was preparing for takeoff. On his Twitter feed, he posted: “Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowondermaericaairisbankrupt”

Words With Friends is a multi-platform word-building game you can play with others via cellphone. Baldwin Tweeted after the American Airlines incident that the game was “addicting.”

American Airlines, however, tells a much more involved story that paints Alec Baldwin as more than just a gaming addict who doesn’t like following the rules. Instead, they say Baldwin was “extremely rude to the crew, calling them inappropriate names and using offensive language.”

According to a press statement released by the airline, Baldwin refused to stop playing Words With Friends after a flight attendant asked him to turn off his phone for departure. “When the door is closed for departure and the seat belt light is turned on, all cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off for taxi-out and take-off,” the airline said.

“This passenger declined to turn off his cell phone when asked to do so at the appropriate time. The passenger ultimately stood up (with the seat belt light still on for departure) and took his phone into the plane’s lavatory. He slammed the lavatory door so hard, the cockpit crew heard it and became alarmed, even with the cockpit door closed and locked,” the statement continued. “Given the facts above, the passenger was removed from the flight and denied boarding.”

A spokesman for the actor said his client’s addiction to the Words With Friends games was partially to blame for Alec Baldwin being kicked off the plane. “He loves WWF so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it.” Baldwin’s publicist gave a little jab to American over the incident on his own Twitter account, posting: “hey @American_AA: How come ok 4 other 1st class passengers 2 tweet while @alecbaldwin asked to leave while using his device? #hypocrisy.”

Hmmm, considering how much press coverage this has garnered for Words With Friends, and how he and his publicist keep saying the name of the game every five minutes… Well, it almost makes you wonder if there might have been a little more going on here than just Alec Baldwin being a rude jerk…

Fey says (obviously half-joking) that the show’s ratings have always been pretty low, and that any growth it might have received over time was very likely tempered by the anger of those who resented her for exploiting the Palin family. Fey also said in a recent interview that she’s looking forward to Julianne Moore’s portrayal of Palin for HBO, and she offered Moore her Palin wig for the part.

Aniston will play Claire Harper, Liz Lemon’s (Tina Fey) former roommate who shows up and latches on to Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin). Tina Fey’s WAY excited, and says The Stalker has “mad skills”. Hell, YEAH she does! Just ask the exes!!
