Police in Atlanta have arrested a suspect in the brutal beating death of A.J. Jewell, the ex-fiancé of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss. Jewell died Friday night after suffering severe head trauma in a brawl outside of an Atlanta strip club.
Ashley ‘A.J.’ Jewell was briefly engaged to Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kandi Burruss, who still maintains custodial guardianship over two of his six children. The couple broke up and ended their engagement earlier this year.
Atlanta police arrested Fredrick Richardson on Saturday on a charge of voluntary manslaughter. Jewell reportedly died from massive head injuries allegedly caused by Richardson during a fight outside of the Body Tap strip club Friday night.
“It appears he was involved in an altercation in the parking lot and he received a severe blow to the head,” Atlanta Police Lt. Keith Meadows said in a press statement.
