Although he has found himself slipping down in the ranks the past few weeks, Joshua continues to bring the judges to their feet with his powerful performances and he commands a strong and vocal fan base.

Despite being a favorite on American Idol 2012 to many viewers, some fan polls this week have placed Joshua Ledet in the bottom two this week. American Idol 2012 Top 5 Recap: Who Will Go Home? (VIDEOS)

Wednesday on American Idol 2012, the top 5 sang for their lives in hopes of making it to the top 4. With only a few weeks to go before the American Idol 2012 finals, every song choice counts and every performance could be their last.

For the American Idol 2012 top 5 performances on Wednesday night, the remaining contestants were first asked to perform a classic song from the 1960’s. Then they were tasked with selecting a British pop song from across the pond to perform.

American Idol 2012 top 5 contestant Skylar Laine is a country star in the making for sure, but can she take home the grand prize this season to boost her claim to fame?

With the roaring success of previous American Idol country singers like Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler, I am betting Skylar Laine will have no problem having a great career following the show, but she would probably love to take home that fat American Idol 2012 winning title to help her along.

American Idol 2012 Top 5: Joshua Ledet ‘Ain’t Too Proud to Beg’ (VIDEO)

American Idol 2012 top 5 contestant Joshua Ledet continues to ride in the middle of the pack on most of the fan polls going around. He is consistently ranked lower in fan support than the other remaining male contestant, Phillip Phillips, and for some reason doesn’t seem to impress the American Idol 2012 viewers quite as much as he seems to thrill the judges.

Regardless of his current placement in the American Idol 2012 top 5 rankings, there is no doubting that Joshua Ledet is a powerhouse singer. Give him the right song and he can blow it out of the park and bring the judges and audience to their feet.

American Idol 2012 Top 5: Phillip Phillips ‘The Letter’ (VIDEO)

American Idol 2012 top 5 contestant Phillip Phillips is as impossible to predict in the rankings as he is on the stage. You never know exactly what sort of odd performance he is going to come up with next and you can never quite be sure he will continue to keep the voters happy enough to stay out of the bottom two.

Obviously Phillip Phillips has the ability to charm the American Idol 2012 judges and the audience with his quirky style. Even though he does not always garner the highest praise from the judges and has had at least a few not-so-great performances, he keeps ranking near the top of the contestants week after week.

American Idol 2012 Top 5: Hollie Cavanagh ‘River Deep, Mountain High’ (VIDEO)

American Idol 2012 top 5 singer Hollie Cavanagh is the girl whose fans will not give in. Week after week it has been predicted Hollie Cavanagh would be voted off American Idol 2012, but her fans keep going strong and defying those predictions.

Hollie Cavanagh has managed to survive all the way to the American Idol 2012 top 5 despite repeated placements in the bottom two and numerous predictions she would be eliminated through what seems like half the season so far. Now it even seems like Hollie Cavanagh’s star is on the rise as she has managed rank higher than several of the other remaining contestants in various American Idol 2012 fan polls this week.

American Idol 2012 Elimination Results: Who Got Voted Off?

Predicting who would be be voted off on American Idol 2012 this week on Thursday seemed rather obvious after last week’s voting results and this week’s performrances. However, I can honestly say my American Idol predictions this week were totally off the mark about who would end up in the bottom three.
