American Idol 2012 Elimination Results: Who Got Voted Off?

Going into the American Idol 2012 elimination results on Thursday, the bottom two were pretty much a given based on the voting record, but who exactly would get eliminated was a little more difficult to figure out. While most of the American Idol predictions were close on the three contestants who would end up with the least votes, the question of who got voted off American Idol was a difficult one to answer before host Ryan Seacrest revealed the final results.

American Idol 2012 Elimination Predictions: Who Will Go Home? (VIDEO)

On American Idol 2012 last night, the judges seemed pleased overall with the contestant’s performances, but who really wowed the voters enough to make it to the American Idol top 7? On a night when most everyone gave a good performance, the ones who did not unfortunately stood out in a bad way. After last night’s performances, it seems rather obvious who should be in the bottom two, but making the call on who will actually go home in our American Idol predictions for elimination night is a little bit more difficult.

I won’t go into rehashing each of the performances here, as you can read through the American Idol recaps from last night here (part one) and here (part two). Suffice it to say that in general, the performances last night were quite good. In the case of fan favorite Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and (surprisingly) Skylar Laine, I would say they were even great.

American Idol Elimination Predictions: Who Will Go Home? (VIDEO)

On American Idol last night, the judges gave out five standing ovations, but who really wowed the voters enought to make it to the top 8? On one of the best ratings nights of the American Idol 2012 seasion, it’s going to be a bit of a tough call to figure out which contestant will be facing elimination tonight.

Right now, Colton Dixon is my personal favorite performer on American Idol season 11. His punk rock style with the soft, soaring voice is just a match made in heaven. Literally, the boy credits his talent straight to God and we’re not going to argue with him. He’s also an obviously skilled and talented musician as well as singer, which I always strongly appreciate.

Did American Idol’s Jermaine Jones Deserve Elimination?

American Idol season 11 contestants were shocked last night when one of their own was thrown off the show over his undisclosed criminal history and multiple outstanding warrants. Fans of Jermaine Jones, nicknamed the ‘gentle giant’ by host Ryan Seacrest, were extremely upset by the soulful singer’s elimination from American Idol last night.

You kind of want to feel both bad or and angry at Jermaine Jones for getting booted on American Idol last night because of his criminal past. Considering the show’s previous history with having to throw off people over their troubles with the law, I’m pretty sure Jones was asked directly at some point if he had ever been arrested or had any outstanding warrants. Actually, I’m quite surprised that American Idol didn’t turn up all this junk earlier. His fellow contestants were also rather stunned by this, according to fellow contestant Erika Van Pelt.

American Idol Jessica Sanchez reacts to Jennifer Hudson Twitter praise

“American Idol” hopeful Jessica Sanchez was in tears after receiving praise from Academy Award-winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson for her latest performance. Jessica Sanchez soared on a rendition of Whitney Houston‘s “I Will Always Love You” on “American Idol” last night. In a night dedicated to paying tribute to Houston (by the girls) and Stevie Wonder (by the boys), Sanchez totally stole the show.

“Yes Jessica! That’s it!!” Jennifer Hudson, a finalist on “American Idol” season three, posted to her Twitter feed after Sanchez’s performance. Even though it was only four short words, the “American Idol” season 11 contestant was moved to tears over the praise.
