Tonight on American Idol, it will finally come down to the last two contestants — Scotty McCreery versus Lauren Alaina. While it looks like the odds seem skewed in McCreery’s favor, we all know that on American Idol you just never know who the hell will end up on top.

Who will win the American Idol finale? If judge Simon Cowell has a choice, it will be ‘most improved’ contestant Lee DeWyze. But we’re still rooting for longtime fan favorite Crystal Bowersox. Tonight we’ll see the final performances and then it will be up to America to decide this season’s American Idol winner at last.

American Idol judge Simon Cowell has announced his pick for the American Idol winner this season: Lee DeWyze. While Cowell said he previously thought Crystal Bowersox had nailed down the American Idol winner spot, he is now betting on DeWyze.

American Idol last night left us with a feeling of unrest and mild depression. Even our favorite girl, Crystal Bowersox, failed to give us the happy pill that would have at least raised the show to the level of only mildly boring. Michael Lynche almost managed to drag us out of the gutter, but in the end we were just left limp and wasted on the floor by the night’s performances.

American Idol is bringing back Elvis Presley theme week for the first time since season five on Tuesday night. We just find it vastly amusing that Adam Lambert is serving as guest mentor this week. After all, Elvis Presley was pretty controversial and often quite racy himself back in the day. And Adam Lambert can certainly shake those hips just as much as Elvis did!

American Idol contestant Michael Lynche lucked out big time last night when the judges decided to use their precious ‘save’ to keep him from being voted off the show. We’re glad Big Mike didn’t bite it, but we can’t help but wonder why the hell he was nearly cut in the first place?

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Crystal Bowersox is our girl on American Idol and her performance of “Midnight Train to Georgia” last night just drove that point home yet again. This girl can sing it!

Disney star Miley Cyrus will guest on American Idol this week as the mentor for ‘Billboard #1 Hits’ week. Yes, Tuesday night we get to listen to Miley Cyrus give advice to the likes of Crystal Bowersox, who could already pretty much crush Cyrus into the ground like a cockroach with her voice.

While we were not too sad to see who got eliminated this week on American Idol, we were dismayed to find out it was not Tim Urban who got the boot. We keep waiting and waiting, but he keeps going and going like a damned energizer bunny on speed.
