American Idol 2012 Top 4 Photo Revealed as Skylar Laine Says Goodbye

The official American Idol 2012 top 4 photo has been revealed and it looks like Hollie Cavanagh is hanging on for dear life as she poses with the other three singers left in the competition. After Skylar Laine was voted off American Idol 2012 Thursday night, the remaining top 4 contestants are looking at just a few short weeks before the American Idol 2012 finale.

For some reason the official American Idol 2012 top 4 photo amuses me because it really does appear as if Hollie Cavanagh is about to plummet off a ledge and is clinging to Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez as if her life depends on it. Considering how often Hollie Cavanagh has been in the bottom two on American Idol 2012 and in danger of falling right off the edge, it is an apt photo representation of her status on the show.

American Idol 2012 Skylar Laine Had Gut Feeling She Would Get Voted Off

Country singer Skylar Laine said she was not surprised when she was voted off American Idol 2012 this week. The 18-year-old from Brandon, MS told reporters on Friday she had a “gut feeling” she would be the one going home rather than Hollie Cavanagh on the American Idol 2012 elimination results show Thursday night.

“I wasn’t surprised, because I don’t know. I just got a gut feeling when I came back up there and I stood there, Skylar Laine told reporters in a press conference call on Friday. “I told Hollie, I said, ‘I think you’re about to be surprised,’ because she thought she was going home.”

American Idol 2012 Elimination Predictions: Top 7 Redux

No one is safe on the American Idol 2012 elimination results show Thursday night. Fans learned last week when former favorite Jessica Sanchez was suddenly thrown into the bottom spot that just about anything can and will happen when the voters speak. So who will get voted off American Idol 2012 on the elimination results show this week?

My American Idol predictions for the past few weeks have been totally wrong, which tends to drive me just a little bit nuts since I’m usually pretty on the ball with these things. So trying to make an American Idol 2012 prediction for the elimination results show on Thursday this week was troublesome, especially after the craziness of last week’s results.

American Idol 2012 Elimination Predictions: Who Will Go Home? (VIDEO)

On American Idol 2012 last night, the judges seemed pleased overall with the contestant’s performances, but who really wowed the voters enough to make it to the American Idol top 7? On a night when most everyone gave a good performance, the ones who did not unfortunately stood out in a bad way. After last night’s performances, it seems rather obvious who should be in the bottom two, but making the call on who will actually go home in our American Idol predictions for elimination night is a little bit more difficult.

I won’t go into rehashing each of the performances here, as you can read through the American Idol recaps from last night here (part one) and here (part two). Suffice it to say that in general, the performances last night were quite good. In the case of fan favorite Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and (surprisingly) Skylar Laine, I would say they were even great.
