While my personal American Idol 2012 prediction is that it will be Phillip Phillips who gets the boot this week, there is honestly just no way of knowing what the rather unpredictable voters this season will decide to do.

American Idol 2012 Live Recap: The Top 3 Perform (VIDEOS)

The American Idol 2012 top 3 will hit the stage to perform three times on Wednesday night for the American Idol 2012 semifinals. The theme of the night is all about choices and a lot will be riding on the song choices made by the contestants and made for them by the judges and Interscope-Geffen-A&M chairman and music producer Jimmy Iovine. American Idol 2012 top 5 soulful singer Joshua Ledet is an obvious favorite of the judges and the voters. Although he has found himself slipping down in the ranks the past few weeks, Joshua continues to bring the judges to their feet with his powerful performances and he commands a strong and vocal fan base.

Despite being a favorite on American Idol 2012 to many viewers, some fan polls this week have placed Joshua Ledet in the bottom two this week. In fact, there is more than one poll out there that actually shows Joshua Ledet as the one most in danger of elimination this round. Wednesday on American Idol 2012, the top 5 sang for their lives in hopes of making it to the top 4. With only a few weeks to go before the American Idol 2012 finals, every song choice counts and every performance could be their last.

For the American Idol 2012 top 5 performances on Wednesday night, the remaining contestants were first asked to perform a classic song from the 1960’s. Then they were tasked with selecting a British pop song from across the pond to perform.

American Idol 2012 Top 5: Skylar Laine ‘You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me’ (VIDEO)

American Idol 2012 top 5 country sweetheart Skylar Laine has an uphill battle to the winner’s circle this season, but her fans still believe. Although Skylar Laine is not heavily favored to win American Idol 2012 by most predictions out there, her fan base continues to grow rapidly.

This week on American Idol 2012, Skylar Laine is actually ranking quite high in some viewer polls, even coming in second to Jessica Sanchez in a few. Others have her ranked in third and a couple I have seen actually have her ranked in the bottom two with Hollie Cavanagh.
