The Still-Bizarre Habits of Angelina Jolie

Remember the days of Billy Bob Thorton and Angelina Jolie? When the two got matching tattoos and wore vials of eachother’s blood around their necks. They were so wonderfully strange. And it appears that in the last decade or so, Jolie has put that phase behind her – entering a committed relationship; adopting kids; getting pregnant. But that may not be the case.

In an interview on CBS’s 60 Minutes, she reveals that that side of her still exists. When asked for specifics, the 36-year-old star doesn’t give away a lot of detail, saying: “Nothing I want to go into a lot of detail about, but I think people can imagine that I did the most dangerous and I did the worst,” says Jolie, who’s raising six kids with Brad Pitt.

Jolie has admitted to drug usage, alcohol and self-mutilation in the past in her “search for something deeper.” She still may be on that search – some are estimating the 5’8″ actor might way less than 100 pounds, which is anything but healthy for her height and build. An employee reveals, “She locks herself in the basement every day and exercises for hours,” using endless workouts as a way to reportedly escape her family.

We hope she’s treating herself in a healthful way!

 

Brangelina may tie the knot despite promise

They made headlines by saying they would not marry until everyone in the country was legally able to, but things may be changing for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.  Brad said in a recent interview that he and Angelina were revisiting the possibility of marriage, after their children started putting on the pressure and asking why Mommy and Daddy aren’t married.

Brad said that over time, the marriage issue has loomed larger and larger in his children’s minds, and so for their sake it’s a discussion that he and Angelina have decided to reopen.  No sign of a proposal or a ring, though, so any nuptials are likely to be far off in the future, if ever.

Chelsea Handler gets catty about Angelina Jolie

Not one to ever let go of a grudge she’s not even really involved with, Chelsea Handler spoke to her audience at her recent Newark show to let everyone know just how she feels about the years-old Aniston-vs-Jolie issue.  Calling Angelina a “homewrecker,” she went on to say that she finds Angelina to be fake and bitchy, and then used some other descriptive words, many of which began with “F” and “C.”  Wow, that’s a lot of anger to be holding onto.

Chelsea finished up her rant by adding that she completely understands why Angelina doesn’t have any friends, because no one in their right mind would want to befriend her.  Ouch.

Brangelina give their son a perfectly normal birthday

Now, of course most of us take our seven-year-olds to France and treat them to a Parisian cruise for their birthdays, so perhaps it’s hardly even news that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie gave their son Pax that exact birthday celebration.  And you know you have to have birthday cake on the boat while you ride down the Seine, natch.

The family were in Paris for more than their son’s birthday, though –  they’re in town to promote Jolie’s film The Tourist.  I guess if you have to be anywhere on a business trip, Paris is not a bad option, and hopefully little Pax had a birthday to remember, even though crazy extravagant stuff like this happens to him on a regular basis.

Angelina Jolie denies horrible rumor

Angelina Jolie is currently in Eastern Europe directing a feature-length drama about the war in Bosnia, and the project marks her directorial debut.  Scandal has already surrounded this movie, which doesn’t even have a title yet, due to some rumors and accusations about the plot and specifically a romance that occurs between two of the characters.  

According to the rumors, the romance began after the male character raped and tortured the female character.  Activist groups representing female victims of the Bosnian conflict have expressed outrage and have asked for Jolie’s filming permit to be withdrawn, but Jolie claims there is no truth to the rumors whatsoever.  She says that the romance between the two characters in question begins before the war even starts, in a club, and that it’s a normal relationship in that sense.  

Jolie also says, however, that she understands the concerns about such a sensitive subject, and she’s happy for any officials in the investigation to have full access to the script.  Hopefully that will clear the matter up.

Angelina Jolie and her money go to Pakistan

Angelina Jolie is extending her humanitarian reach, this time to Pakistan. She traveled to meet Afghan refugees whose camp had been shut down as a result of the flooding in Pakistan, commenting that it’s not just the Pakistani people who’ve been painfully affected by the floods.

And, in true Jolie fashion, she was there for more than just a photo op – her trip was facilitated to help bring awareness back to the area and to help with fundraising efforts as the UN warned a slow response so far from the global community could be putting lives at risk. Putting her money where her mouth is, Jolie also donated $100,000 from her personal funds.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Mock Split Rumors with Super Bowl PDA

For a couple supposedly on the rocks, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were certainly all over each other while watching the 2010 Super Bowl from an exclusive skybox with adopted son Maddox.

Photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt watching the game show the couple snuggling, manhandling each other and kissing madly – with huge grins plastered on their faces the whole time. Pitt and Jolie shared the excitement of the Super Bowl game with son Maddox, who looked chilled and relaxed in a Drew Brees #9 jersey as his parents cheered on the New Orleans Saints.

Either all those rumors about Pitt and Jolie headed to splits-ville are indeed false, as the couple claims – or these two are even better actors than we give them credit for.

Not only was it fun to watch the Hollywood hottie couple canoodle in their box seats, we just love the total joy on their faces when the Saints blew out the Colts for the win. Pitt and Jolie have dedicated huge amounts of time and money to help New Orleans rebuild after the Hurricane Katrina disaster. They deserve a bit of enjoyment out of seeing their ‘adopted’ home team smash their way to a historic victory.
