Rutgers University has made a very controversial move by paying Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi the sum of $32,000 to speak to the students about the benefits of partying hard and staying tan (yes, really). Â But here’s the real kicker: the university is paying only $30,000 to Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison for her upcoming speech at the graduation ceremony.
This recent development has prompted many parents of Rutgers students to question exactly how well their hard-earned tuition money is being spent, and whether Rutgers is making reasonable decisions as to how to dish out appearance fees, and on whom. Â The university’s response was this: Aziz Ansari‘s appearance fee was $75,000, so really they got a total bargain with Snooki.
